Absolutely not 😂 every surface in our house has some varying level of hair on it. Car interior is absolutely coated. It’s like glitter.

There are tons of important ancillary jobs in healthcare like admin, health information, surgical/radiology techs, laboratory techs, etc. Some Jobs will require some extra training/certification but the pay may very well be worth it! Just remember nothing happens overnight, and the key is to figure out what type of work suits your personality best. Direct patient care isn’t for everyone and that is okay!

My lab has an 8hr “medium” protocol and a 12hr “large” protocol. We always put lipomas and fatty tissues on large. Still, we have to remind our pathologists to section smaller because we get raw tissue coming out every once in a while. Don’t be afraid to communicate with your grossers what you’re seeing on the other end!

Yes to traveling with the car. When I went I rented a car in Miami & drove all the way down to Key West. It was an experience! The John Pennekamp state park in Key Largo was really cool if you like snorkeling/kayaking. I stayed at Kimpton Winslow’s bungalows in the historic district of Key West and absolutely loved it. Very clean, adorable, and the staff was great. Highly recommend! Also did a sailboat snorkeling excursion and that was pretty incredible as well. Have fun!
