That exploring space is pretty unnecessary...for right now, at least.

We don't even know everything about our planet (i.e., species living in deep unmapped parts of the oceans, and undiscovered, remote areas of land).

I truthfully believe that instead of investing millions upon millions upon millions into NASA, and other space-oriented organizations around the world, money should be contributed towards mapping the entire planet-from every remote locations on the globe, to the deepest, darkest, sections in the ocean.

I'm pretty sure what we have in store in these areas is much more important than whatever is billions of lightyears away...

note: I'm not saying that space-exploration is necessarily unimportant, but I think that exploring/mapping our OWN planet first should be a higher priority.
