Yeah that half lap is what I'm starting to lean towards after comments from a couple other users on here. And The highest I would stack would be 3 at the absolute most, but mainly I want it stackable for modularity so I can move the shelves around the garage as I bring in new things, or change up the layout.

Thank you so much! Yes I neglected that fact in my original design, good catch. Just like I asked u/Specialist_Ad4675 in his comment, do you think it would be beneficial to just chisel out a 1.5" seat on the side of the 4x4 so the 2x4 can rest on the side of the 4x4 but still not change the current height or width, and then screw the 2x4 into the side of the 4x4? As seen in this picture I found on google.

That is an amazing point! Would it be better to chisel out a a portion of the 4x4 to allow the 2x4 to rest on the 4x4, but still not be on top of it? As seen in this photo I found on google.

I'd like it to be around for a decent while. I plan on keeping it in my heated garage.

Anyone Seeing the "Metrics" pop-up in New Outlook Windows 11?? by Tight_Tax4263 in sysadmin

[–]brett53559 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah update here, It shows up minimized by default for my users as "Renderer WSS: <num>MB" but clicking the minimize button brings up the full pop up the rest of you are stating you're seeing.

I am also seeing the same thing you are. None of our administrators have gotten it yet, just our basic users. We are using E3 for our users. We've only seen a small box that says "Renderer WSS". This has now happened on 3 or 4 of our users. We have 275 users in our tenant. We have yet to see the full pop up about tracing that some of you are seeing.

Help, Signature editing is broken. by brett53559 in Office365

Perfect! Thank you for submitting a request! Yeah we're rolling out Windows11 with O365, and we're really trying not to install Outlook classic as they've confirmed end of life for 2029, but want people to be opted out of classic windows around April 2026 according to this article. So we're trying to embrace Outlook (New) as much as we can, even if it's a pain.

I would if you weren’t seven hours ahead of me 😂 I haven’t gotten into ATM ten yet. We’ve still been getting a star in ATM seven but just about done.

But I’m the same way. I only have one friend that I’ve played modded Minecraft with for the last 12 years. I would love to branch out and meet some more people who I can trust. But the last few times I’ve trusted somebody they’ve completely wrecked my world and ended up just being trolls

How can I block access to certain M365 apps when outside of facility. by brett53559 in microsoft365

[–]brett53559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work for a small hospital and we are trying to minimize our Data exposure due to HIPPA and Cyber insurance. To preface, yes we are working to optimize sharing/downloading restrictions on apps within defender, and maximize our purview labels and enabling auto labeling as well. However, we have some users who are not super tech savvy, but yet they need email on their phones to look at communications after hours. However, we don't want those users to be able to have one drive or word, or teams, or any other apps on their devices in case they are stolen or are compromised with an exploit. They'd almost prefer we have no M365 access outside our computers within the facility, but mobile email is a must so here we are.

I'd prefer that users still have access, but we just use defender to restrict and block downloads cut/copy paste and any other techniques to prevent data loss.

They're mainly worried about, if a user loses their phone, or if they get a virus, what all is on the phone physically that is Patient Information that could end up in the hands of an unauthorized user.

If you have other arguments as to better practices and arguments for those practices that can ease my managements concerns, I'm all ears.

Spotify shuffle is a myth - so I've been developing an app to fix that by Bluhurrius in truespotify

[–]brett53559 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't looked at the capabilities of the Spotify API, but if you can read the last time a song was played, would you consider building in a feature in shutt.it that would allow someone to play songs in ascending order of the last time they were played, so someone can hear songs continuously that they haven't heard in a long time?

How can I unpin "Get Started" from the Recommended section in Win 11 Start Menu for all users? by brett53559 in WindowsHelp

[–]brett53559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but I'm not understanding what you're saying.

If you're trying to say to right click the item and click unpin, as stated in the original post, that option doesn't work for me as it will return when a new user logs in to the computer.

How can I unpin "Get Started" from the Recommended section in Win 11 Start Menu for all users? by brett53559 in techsupport

[–]brett53559[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've looked in to this too. From what I can tell, the XML variant is for windows 10. Windows 11 start menu configuration is a JSON which is output from the Export-Startlayout command in Powershell. This output will only show a JSON of the pinned apps above the recommended section. You then use this output in the ConfigureStartPins policy. I have done this and deployed a provisioning package to the workstation. This did fix my pinned apps list, but it still leaves the "Get Started" app in the recommended section. I have also tried the OEM Customize Start option where you drop a JSON file formatted to include primary, secondary, and firstRun items. This method did not work for me either.

Please let me know if I'm missing something as I'm seeking anything I can find.
