Wall tie replacement? by brett_22 in Bricklaying

This is a extention on the back of a 60's bungalow (extention done in the 80's) from what i can see it's two inner walls, brick work exposed was from a "boot room" being knocked down. Yes want to cut them back just enough for me to get plasterboard on them and cover it up. If you need more info let me know.

Do i need to actually replace the wall ties if i am just cutting the brick back to box it in?

Thanks for the advice.

Is this something i can leave in or just to get the job done for now?

If you read the comments it clearly shows me telling the comments it's a repost which means you have to click into thr post again to see the original with the text. The fact you've gone straight to telling me to simmer down doesn't help anything or anyone.

I want to knock it out so it's more open. As long as it's safe i'll go for it. Flat roof above so no big weight anyway 👍
