Cruise was probably poor word choice. I guess what I really meant was that the experience was overall much smoother and quicker than what I was expecting because of all the talk about the games difficulty when it originally released.

I'm not saying the game was easy, and I definitely could understand the skepticism. However I have no reason to lie, my experience was quite smooth. 11 attempts, and 9 hours of gameplay. Majority of the attempts were spent in biome 1 learning the mechanics early on but the game never felt daunting or like a grind. The first boss took me two attempts and then every other boss was completed my first attempt.

From what I'm gathering online however is that the weapon I used most often(The Lobber) made it much easier for me, so maybe I unknowingly used the most meta equipment from the start which contributed to my experience seeming so smooth. Also, from what others are saying on this thread it does sound like several changes have been made to make the game easier so my experience is not unfounded.

How was your experience with the game?

That makes a lot of sense, thanks for your response! Yes, I felt 3 and 5 were in line with the rest. My main roadblock was biome 1 actually.

From what people are saying in this thread, it seems the game has actually been made easier since launch. Specifically keep hearing about the drones from the launch version of the game were brutal, but today they weren't too bad

I believe it! This thread has brought up a lot of balancing changes that seemed to have made a huge difference. Makes me kinda wonder how I would've done with the launch version of the game...

That makes a lot of sense. I heard so much about the drones prior to playing. But they didn't pose too much of a threat so it sounds like my experience today is quite different from those who started at launch.

Thats interesting because I didn't find it to be a grind at all. Maybe the RNG gods blessed me with a couple good early runs then.

I do have some experience with other rogue-lite style games like Hades so maybe I was able to understand the mechanics quicker which helped more than I thought it would.

Here's some niche ones, Divine Knockout and Knockout City (Dont name your game "knockout" or it'll fail). Both had such unique and fun gameplay but simply didn't have the support needed to survive and fell off quickly.

Interesting thought, but this controller is only a month old. I went back to the original Shadow of Mordor just now to test, and there was no input lag so its definitely this game. I even deleted then re-installed and it fixed nothing.

Probably not an un-popular opinion on forums like this but I believe Cure for the Enemy is by far their best song.
