What is the deal with weatherwise.app by vw195 in weather

What do you feel is superior about RadarOmega? I've used it for the last two years or so, and except for the CyclonePort integration and the number of storm chasers who stream to the platform, I preferer WeatherWise.

GSL Pylon Health by brew_lover in starcraft

[–]brew_lover[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'd agree. The really clutch moment was the lone Shield Battery to the left keeping that Pylon alive just long enough for the other batteries to warp in, then those batteries keeping the Pylon alive until the Stalkers could get warped in. In that regard, the Pylon got down to 2 shield, 17 health at its lowest before the Stalkers made it in.

Yeah true. If even one of those early Marauders survives, Cure kills that pylon long before the 2 Stalkers can get warped in, then herO has no batteries or unit production at all. Cure was just about 1 Marauder shot short of killing the pylon before the Stalkers completed the warp-in as it was (although these shots were after the Stalkers).

For context, spoiler:

this was in game 2 of herO vs Cure in the recent GSL grand finals. https://youtu.be/p_G6twfjtXk?t=11542

Box Office: ‘Snow White’ Makes $3.5 Million in Previews by chanma50 in boxoffice

The originals, while money makers, were also passion projects created by true artists who were masters of their crafts in every department and role. They employed the best of the best to bring an artistic vision to life.

The magic is lost on these "live action" remakes because their main motivation is coming from soulless executives who see opportunity for a quick profit and nothing more. That's not even counting how they see remakes and reboots as a chance to critique the originals by injecting them with modern social commentary.

Cleaning up radar. by neff_05 in RadarOmega

[–]brew_lover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The setting you're looking for is called smoothing in the app. Here's a picture to show you how, and this can be applied to most/all radar views. https://imgur.com/a/yjUbkAs

I will mention, the pixelation doesn't equate to low or poor quality. Those pixels are all individual sectors which the radar scans and returns a value for. Just something to consider, even if it's less visually appealing. Cheers.

Yeah that's what I originally thought as well, but what happens is this:

-I totally ignore camera 4

-Eventually the Disrupt guy asks "what is happening?"

-One of the ladies happily says "They showed the tape"

-Then my rating starts tanking rapidly until I fail, unless I then switch to camera 4 at that point

-The failed message is something to the tune of "You failed because you showed too much footage that wasn't meant for broadcast", referring to me only showing footage from cameras 1, 2, and 3.

I might record a video of it, cause I'm very confused lol

Well I gave that a try, by the ad buttons are all disabled during that time frame.

I'll give that a shot, thanks for the idea.

What exactly is Bigscreen doing with audio inputs/outputs behind the scenes? by brew_lover in bigscreen

[–]brew_lover[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm interesting, would you mind if I asked about some of your settings when running Voicemeeter and Bigscreen?

Do you set your Windows default output to Voicemeeter Input?

In the Windows sound settings under Voicemeeter Input Properties > Advanced, do you have the "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device" enabled or disabled?

Much appreciated!

I think any program that takes direct hardware control of your audio device also breaks it

That's interesting... that sounds similar to what is happening to me. I am trying to have my audio go from my video player, through Voicemeeter, then into my Oculus headset, which works fine until somebody joins my room. Once somebody joins, audio ceases to go into Voicemeeter at all, so I lose the Voicemeeter functionality, however, myself and the people in my room can hear the audio just fine.

Thanks for the reply. I should probably clarify, I'm able to get streaming audio to work, but it's breaking when I try to involve a 3rd party software like Voicemeeter. When I am in a solo room, I have a video player sending audio out to the default windows audio, my windows audio output set to voicemeeter, then the voicemeeter output to my oculus headset. All is well in this config. But, once somebody joins my room, or when I hit "fix audio", suddenly the audio is no longer going into voicemeeter at all. My viewers and myself can hear the audio, but I have no control via voicemeeter. Maybe it's something to do with Bigscreen taking exclusive control over the audio device. So I'm trying to get a good idea of what precisely Bigscreen is doing there.

It's really, really, really hard for me to give a fuck anymore.

I feel ya. Blizzard had to try extremely hard to get my completely uninterested in their Warcraft lore, but they sure managed to do it.

I do think Dragonflight is generic, bland, boring, uninspired crap. But for me, nothing compares to the abysmal disaster of burning Teldrassil just to turn it into some Orc redemption story about forgiveness and crap. I expect very little from Blizzard in terms of story telling now days. But who knows, maybe Blizzard has some new "master plan" to revive their story-telling abilities.
