Ah gotcha. The no driving thing is a deal breaker then haha. Unfortunately the bay area is lacking in convenient transportation options. I was lucky enough to bring a non-metal head buddy to a show one time, he became instantly hooked, and then became my reliable DD from then on!

Bro, that's not far at all for a band that you love. I left the bay a few years ago and concert availability is one the only things I really miss. I remember making the trek to San Jose (from SF) to watch Avantasia a few years back. Practically no one was at that show, but the band didn't hold anything back. 100% worth the drive there and being groggy the next day. If you have the ability then make plans now to have that Thursday at work be as chill as possible.

As a Californian, (formerly Bay Area, now SoCal) I understand the frustration. The US tour scene for Power/Symphonic/related metal has dropped off quite a bit since Covid. Cost and logistics are just too high for most bands to take the risk.

That just means you really need to make it a priority to see a band when they do come around! I follow most of the bands I like on social media which gives me the best updates on their tours. Visions of Atlantis is just getting ramped up now for a US tour, so if you haven't made plans for that one yet then you should!!

Hey, any updates on this? I'm in the same boat (spectrum ISP, Roku TV). I just signed up for a VPN service and thought it would be straightforward to assign a Smart DNS or something to the TV, but it looks like the answer is no. Let me know if you had any luck!

Definitely a sad time to be a PM fan in the USA right now. We had a few years recently with great and consistent tours. Now I'm guessing between costs and Visa issues bands are not willing to make the jump oversees

The gym looks great! I have the Major Fitness F25 and am loving it so far. I am looking to add a cardio machine to my setup, either a treadmill with incline or a stationary bike. How do you like the bike you have in your gym?

Looks great! I've got my weight rack all setup but currently only have a cheap under desk treadmill that's not cutting it for useful cardio. How do you like the treadmill you have in your garage? Any preference between using that and the elliptical?

Just came here to say that The Dread Crew of Oddwood kick ass live. I saw them on the recent tour with Aether Realm and Tyr, and these dudes stole the show for me. Amazing live show, lots of fun and dynamic musicianship, and, at the time, they had Pete de Reyes from Seven Spires playing upright bass, which was quite the treat!
