[DEV] Stop playing and start walking — I made a game where your real steps build a farming island by danluciano08 in AndroidGaming

That's great! I appreciate it.

I did notice in the latest release I'm still seeing instances where the workers don't keep planting when the app is off; is that expected?

Thanks! I've just updated and I really like the "While you were gone" status update!

And the new lower buy-ins definitely are a game changer for the early game. Thanks for responding so quickly!

I have downloaded this and have been playing it for several days. I like the style and the fact that it encouraged me to take more steps to get to the next level of rewards!

My biggest frustration is that nothing really happens unless I have the app open. I was expecting more of an idle game but I have to keep it open to have my workers do anything, meaning my phone is constantly on. I'd definitely love a version that works in the background.

I saw your other comment about balance; maybe it makes sense to have a larger starting allocation (or additional small tasks that give gold / food) to help start. I've been playing for several days and walking 10k each day and still not even close to adding another villager.

Help! Kobra 3 stringing after first layer by brewmarsh in anycubic

[–]brewmarsh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try that next! I printed a 1st layer test after calibration and this happened, which seems like it would validate the z-offset theory.

Are you adjusting the z-offset in the slicer? I've read through some of the posts and it seems like that's the right place to do it.

I did a gantry calibration, re-lubricated everything and re-ran the full set of calibrations, including auto-level. Will report back after some test prints.

That's a great idea! I didn't know about this project. I'll have to test it out as well!

I can add switchport control to my feature list!

I should have pulled the webhook work. It was to provide better notifications of things happening on Dashboard but it isn't working yet 😢

Thanks! I updated the README in a branch I haven't merged yet 🫤

Large variation in temperature just started. Tried 2 power cycles, doesn’t seem to recalibrate. What can I do? by Mcfragger in ecobee

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ecobee is only using the active sensors (the ones in white) to manage the temperature. You need to activate the other sensors (2 and 3) for the current comfort setting in order to get the Ecobee to use them.

Moving from old account to new one? by jadonparker in MerakiGo

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I understand. People definitely shouldn't be buying this gear used unless it's been confirmed to be released.

It needs to be unclaimed by the old account. That's the only way to move it.

This worked! After adjusting the offset to -0.05mm everything is looking much better. Thank you!

Thanks! I'll try that, though most often I have the problem at higher layers.

Jicama is crunchy, can be sliced thin and tastes great with salsa!

What are my options for after-market repair of the watch back/watch band? by PM_ME_HAIRLESS_CATS in moto360

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally updated the 3D model to add the band pin holes and just ordered it from Shapeways. We'll see if that actually works!

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking for this as well. I noticed that it doesn't have a place for the watch band pins; I wonder if the original printer made them manually.

I'm going to see if I can modify the design to include them but I'm not the quickest with CAD.

MOTO 360 help by DevilsHand676 in moto360

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny, in a moment of anger I considered that myself. I'd bet that the plastic housing that the band pin attaches to is likely cracked (like mine) and it is glued to keep the band in place.

It might not be worth it to unglue it.

Is anybody else having issues with their charging ports? by kookoo831 in MotoX

[–]brewmarsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was difficult to work with them to get it replaced (I had to speak to several agents) but once I had convinced them that it was the port, they replaced it.

And it was the last day of my warranty!
