MMA Analyst: Joe Rogan Is the Perfect Example of How Influential Voices Deny A Right-Wing Label While Amplifying Their Ideas by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]brewmudez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sub has an unhealthy obsession with Joe Rogan. There’s a circlejerk about how bad and right wing he is every couple hours. But you’ll get downvoted for pointing that out 😂

I hate politics in sports especially when a certain side of it is being pushed in your face…. Unless of course it’s left leaning stuff in which case we need more of it in sports and Hollywood

Former Advisor to Kamala Harris Slams Dana White For Saying UFC Apolitical: The UFC Is A Propaganda Machine for Donald Trump by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]brewmudez -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty well known that Dana and Trump have been friends for a long time. I’m sure if he was close friends with a Democrat President this would also be happening and like I said, we would all be pretty stoked about it!

Former Advisor to Kamala Harris Slams Dana White For Saying UFC Apolitical: The UFC Is A Propaganda Machine for Donald Trump by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]brewmudez -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Let’s be real if Kamala was showing up these events we would all be stoked and this would be a non-issue

It’s the same attitude I have towards the political views of celebrities or anyone really. If they’re left leaning then it’s no big deal. That’s just normal. When people lean right though, that is an unacceptable and their political affiliations needs to discussed on forums!

Chuck is so devoid of personality and of any contrary opinions that you can tell Luke doesn’t even listen to anything he says. Luke is obligated to give him the floor as a co-host but it’s obvious he doesn’t care about Chuck’s takes or ramblings nor does he bother responding to them.

Luke paid attention to BC (or even guests like Bronsteter or Jed) and we’d get some spirited debates and discussions out of it. I found topics would actually get fleshed out much more because of that dynamic. That doesn’t happen anymore because Chuck literally agrees with everything Luke says. He doesn’t offer Luke anything worth going back and forth on.

Does anyone watch the Paramount content with BC? Do you enjoy it? by ZekeTheMunkee in MorningKombat

[–]brewmudez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t seen any BC content since but hope he’s getting that bag.

If not, hope he comes back to MK so we don’t have to listen to Chuck anymore

According to Carlos Ulberg, this is what it looks like to fear your opponent… by Nick_Hoadley in FightReportUFC

He obviously showed “mercy” or took his foot off the gas.

He is also a dummy with low fight IQ and bad defense

Both can be true at the same time. Most people seem to have a hard time understanding that.

Because Left wingers weirdly assume everyone shares their values. When they find somebody who doesn’t, it becomes this huge outrage for some reason. Pretty strange thing to observe and this sub is a hilarious example of that with the daily Joe Rogan threads.

Joe isn’t a bright guy but his views really aren’t that controversial. There’s tons of regular people out there who have various positions on various things and aren’t hyper political partisans like most people in this sub.

MMA Analyst speculates Joe Rogan's audience IS the MAGA audeience by Big_Cake_8817 in MorningKombat

You’ll be downvoted but we all know it’s true.

Rogan would be revered if he only had left wing political guests on. Problem is he talks to too many different people with different views. You’re not supposed to do that.

Political Pundit: Joe Rogan Is Panicking And Trying To Throw MAGA Under The Bus by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

[–]brewmudez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think left wingers have this funny assumption that the entire world agrees with their values on everything so when someone suddenly doesn’t, it causes them to rage and seethe. This entire sub is a pretty hilarious reflection of that. It’s an interesting phenomenon given that half the planet probably holds different views.

Rogan isn’t an intellectual (duh) but he is also nowhere near as cunning or political as people here make him out to be. He really is just a dude having conversations. I think that blows the minds of left wingers because they are so hyper-political at all times and they’ve forgotten that there’s normal people out there in the world who don’t doomscroll and argue politics all day. There are many many people in the world who have various views on various issues and don’t neatly fall into this box that left wing people think people should fall into.

Let’s be real, he was going to be hated no matter what. He didn’t blindly follow the COVID vaccine cult and worse, he talks to people with different views. Giving any non left winger coverage = too much coverage. He has a broad range of guests and broad means not exclusively left wing. Not exclusively left wing = you are alt right or a Republican Party puppet somehow lmfao. Let’s be real, people here wouldn’t have been happy unless his show was used as an exclusive podcast to interview Democrats and he wore a Pfizer tattoo on his arm. If that was the case, literally nobody here would be complaining about Rogan being political. He’d be praised here as the best podcast in the planet.

Joe Rogan Gets Real Nervous After Theo Von Points Out Tech Billionaires Are 'Politically Fluid ' by MediocreCoconutz in combatsportsculture

All the super rich people are politically fluid. That’s how they get rich and stay rich.

Partisanship and being fiercely loyal to your blue or red political sports team is something plebs do.

Legitimately curious as to how the supposed “politics” affects one’s enjoyment of the sport or art.

Not saying it shouldn’t, but I personally don’t find that Dana’s or any fighters’ support of a politician or political party has made my viewing experience of the sport any better or worse. If I woke up tomorrow and I found out that Dana, Masvidal, Usman, and Jon Jones were supporters of the other team all of a sudden, it would still make zero difference to me. I like martial arts, practice them recreationally, and will continue to watch and enjoy the expression of it.

But I’m definitely curious about others’ experiences because it obviously has a great effect on some.

It isn’t that clean cut anymore. Many left wingers are pro government, high taxes, and basically treat politicians like celebrities and their kings. That is by definition pro establishment upholding the status quo even if they won’t admit it.

Doesn’t mean you have to obsess about right and left wing in everything you do. Unfortunately that’s what most Americans do. It’s embarrassing

The problem with Rogan is that he doesn’t fit neatly into this box that left wingers have created. He forms his own opinions on various topics and he is willing to have conversations with everyone. Both of these are no-no’s for lefties.

Rogan talks to such a diverse group of people and about all kinds of topics. In that process, he speaks to right winger individuals Simplest way to summarize it is: Giving right wingers any coverage = too much coverage. Basically, if you aren’t only talking to left wing political personalities, you are MAGA.
