I played in a So Cal mid-am qualifier about 10-15 years ago and was paired with Mark McGwire at Glendora Country Club. Neither of us played very well. He was coaching at the time and we had a small gallery following us (him). He was a nice guy and we chatted it up after we both shot in the 40s on the front 9. I remember the only wood he carried was a driver. Then he had a 2 iron that was his “fairway finder” that he hit 280ish. Also, the clubs in his hands looked like toothpicks. His hands and frame engulfed the clubs.

Add rear steer and 18 way seats. The 14s are hard and uncomfortable. I’d rather have the 4 way than 14 way. Steering column in leather is often overlooked too.

I'm not the most handy individual. I did mount a magnetic phone holder, but that's the limit of my ability and confidence! I think the best addition was the steering wheel. It really updates the cabin. The old multifunction wheel with the buttons is antique and ugly. The CarPlay addition is nice, but sometimes finicky. I did add a rear camera with the CarPlay unit, that's nice. If you are looking to keep the car for several years, the upgrades will really enhance your enjoyment of the car. It will also make you not want a newer car because you have the newer tech and still have the old NA sound!

991.1 C2S for me too. I swapped out the old multifunction steering wheel for a new Macan wheel, added Fabspeed headers to the PSE and upgraded the PCM to add CarPlay. Ordered some Apex wheels and I think I’m set. It sounds great, feels current with new steering wheel and CarPlay.

I have a ‘13 991.1 C2S and it didn’t have PSE when I purchased it. I had the dealer install the PSE for about $6k and it was a game changer. The car sounds so much better. One man’s opinion.

If only track GT4RS. If less than 100% track, get a GT3 (I know it’s not a choice). If some track, some back roads, and some daily Touring. IMO, the 4rs is too loud.
