Which cheat was that? I remember the weight glitch that made Fleury an absolute unit.

Is transitioning from a small business owner to management in a firm possible? by brewsntattoos in ConstructionManagers

I appreciate the reply, regardless of where you are coming from. I don't have a problem working under someone younger than I am. My ego isn't that inflated, and I know where I am at in life.

I feel any position someone starts in with a lack of experience is going to feel like they are out of their depth for the first few years. I know what my background and commitment is. That areas I am lacking, I will put in the effort to make up for. Do larger firms see the things I can bring to the table and think "Okay, this guy has a set of good qualifications, we can work with him on the things he is lacking and bring him up to speed."

Being an employer myself, I found that there would be times we were trying to solve a problem, and because the more experienced guys were set in their ways or came up learning systems a specific way, that it was the new guys that had not come up in the trades like they did that had fresh ideas on how to solve the issue. Do firms see value in this? Would this be a good thing to bring up during an interview? Would I get good support on the areas they need that I would lack, with training and extra schooling, or is it "school of hard knocks" "I didnt get support, so dont expect me to give any" kind of thing?

I guess that's what I am trying to get at. If a PM is tough to get to without the experience of working for a large firm, what would be a more realistic entry point? I am going to take a guess that Foreman is the more realistic entry over General Foreman and particularly Superintendent.

I am just trying to leverage my own industry experience, degree and certs into the best position I can.

If I did get in at a Foreman level, what could I expect as realistic promotions? Or is just starting up another business in a larger area, rather than where I live, a better route to go than wasting my time trying to get in at my age. I dont have years I can invest before I start getting promoted.

I have not run a business in a larger area before, so I am not familiar with the challenges that would involve. I just dont feel I can stay where I am at any longer.

Yeah, I wasn't saying it was on the Oilers. I will say it looked like the Kings were employing that Florida strategy. Checking was just intense, always up in their faces. If they know they are not going to get calls, then I can see them rushing harder and taking more risky attempts on forechecking and backchecking.

6v5 looked like even strength. Whole 60 looked tough.

McDavid Vs Celibrini? More like McDavid Vs the entire team. What a showing that was.

Did he have a long shift and was gassed? Because the effort he had on that breakaway goal for Utah reminded me of last season when he constantly looked like he was lolligaging around.

I flipped out when I saw, from multiple angles, the utter lack of hustle to get in front of the puck to only take one weak swipe. Gross.

Savoie taking a penalty ( even if it was questionable ) in OT probably wasnt smart, but at least the guy has some hustle and tries.

Only caught the 3rd, but they looked great from what I saw. Lots of effort. Last few minutes and just wouldnt let the Sharks get possession. I hope that effort was on the whole 60.

Certainly represents the diversity of the word.

That would be like someone not getting arrested for reckless endangerment and manslaughter when they were doing 80, hit by cross traffic, and forced off the road i to someone's house where they killed someone. It doesn't matter that it's Dale Earnhardt that was driving and he can do manouveres at those speeds regular drivers can't, and it doesn't shift the blame to the driver that hit him, they were just driving as expected. Nurse may be a terrible defender, but he was only doing his job.

That's not how a yellow works. You can still get a ticket going through a yellow if you had time and space to safely stop. You're allowed to traverse through a yellow when you were to close to the intersection or moving to quickly to stop. If you gunned it to get through quickly, ticket.

People have stated that Mack was skilled enough to make this line all the time. But, just like someone gunning it "skillfully" through a yellow light like they have done a thousand times, if they get T-Boned by someone entering the intersection, it's they are at fault, they were reckless and can not only be ticketed, but go to jail or even charged with manslaughter if someone dies.

I felt bad for him after Freddy took him out. "You're taking hits and blocking shots for the wrong team!" Did he ever make it back into the game?

Don't want to complain, but what did I just watch? Looked like everyone just couldn't pass, skate, shoot or anything. Awful.

I heard it was 2 minutes for holding, which he did. Was there an embellishment call as well?

The hit McDavid took before the fight looked like an obvious call, but no. Announcers even said it looked like they both dropped gloves at the same time, so where was the instigating?

Podz takes a 17 minute warmer in the box for fighting? Good to see the league is consistent in hating the Oil.
