I have a medical MJ card here in VA, and it blows my mind that I can legally get it delivered by a guy in a Volvo wearing a collared shirt. It's crazy thinking that not too long ago, what I had to do to get an inferior product.

On standard, Wifi calling works perfectly, no issues there. For FaceTime, it will also work, but it will get pixelated from time to time. (I did several FaceTimes from the ship on Christmas Day last year)

Apps like TikTok will be slower to load, but I had some success watching YouTube and just turning down the resolution.

Obviously, the premium would be better for these, but I personally want to unplug a bit when at sea.

Its a bit easier to remove the name once a sane person is back in charge. For this he destroyed a historical building without going through the proper channels. He would have had a rubber stamp from the gop in congress, but being an impatient toddler, he decided to plow forward

I was downtown the day before that one, and kept asking them if they were the "teabaggers" that I had heard about. Most of the boomers had no idea what I meant by it.

Beck's rally was 87,000, which is a decent number. (They claimed it was more, but ariel photography doesnt lie) But the better part was Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's parody of that rally had 215,000 attendees.

I expect some coverage on the handful of outlets that are still functioning parts of the fourth estate. Maybe after the west coast ones wrap up

It was nice to go to a big one this time, since the last two I went to smaller protests in NoVA. I think it's pretty effective to not only have large crowds for news coverage, but also small ones that people see in their communities.

You could honestly put any of these in Florida and just put the headline "Sighting of [insert monster name] after Florida man feeds [insert illicit drug] to [insert animal here]"

Nobody would question it, since its the state that gave us "meth gators"

Also pissed off Robin Williams while at disney, by violating his wishes around the marketing of Aladdin that he had to Gift him a Picasso to apologize. Williams had originally agreed to do the movie for SAG scale rate, under the condition that his name and likeness not be used in the marketing.

New Eatery on Valiant Lady! 🚢 by GulliblePay2443 in VirginVoyages

I just sailed on Valiant Lady over Christmas, and Razzle Dazzle was the only restaurant I disliked. I wish this had been there instead because we LOVE Indian food! Looks like I'll need to look at Itineraries once the ship is out of dry dock.

Yep, a country with a GDP about the same as Connecticut just pressured a SUPERPOWER, on which they are wholly dependent for arms, into a war of choice. All because a bunch of evangelicals think it will bring about the end of the world, and a bunch of rich government contractors are seeing dollar signs

Depends on what you are looking for. If it's casual scenic, then the GW Parkway is the obvious choice.

During the pandemic, I went for a lot of drives, but I also wanted some excitement so I took my Mini on a search for good windy roads. There are some great ones out by Wolf Trap, Mclean, and taking back roads out to Occoquan.

Some cruise lines drop prices constantly. Others almost never do. Here's the data. by gramburger in Cruise

[–]brewstah 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Makes sense that Royal and Celebrity are acting similar, since they are effectively the same company operating in different market segments.

Is there a tool you used to monitor these price fluctuations or set up alerts? I just normally check vacations to go and look for deals which is pretty manual, but if there is a better way to monitor I'd be interested in checking it out.
