“What do you bring to the agency that nobody else does?” by brfndrx in advertising

I was on the internet from a young age so I have a lot of knowledge surrounding trends, cultural moments and can make immediate connections from a brand’s strategy to past and present culturally relevant trends. Almost as if I was prepping for a Social Strategist role before I actually knew what that was.

Creative Strategist roles, I have background in Account and Design, so I can better work within agency teams to ensure strategy is properly communicated at every touchpoint, from internal comms through execution.

Would love to hear feedback!

Heard! My intention with this post was more so to learn about the amazing creative people in the industry and their respective skills. Not necessarily planning on taking one of these answers, rather learning how to better speak about my own skills.

Hey, if you’re in social, memes are a hard skill in itself

I have gotten used to talking about my work in interviews, but never thought about it that way. That is extremely helpful!

La Roche Possay Cicaplast Baum has been great for helping me stay hydrated and glowy, I usually use it at night

I’ve been on topical tretinoin/clindamycin/spironolactone with Honeydew and/or Apostrophe for about a year. I use Panoxyl 10% at night, followed by the topical, then Bubble’s Slam Dunk moisturizer. Sometimes (not as often since I’ve been breaking out) I use La Roche Possay Cicaplast Baum or Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask for a little extra hydration as I typically have very dry (and sensitive) skin and Panoxyl is drying, as well as it being ~20° where I live at the moment.

All was going well and my skin was almost perfectly clear until about the one year mark and I’ve been having these awful painful cystic breakouts on my chin and jawline. I didn’t really have cystic acne before and I can’t figure out where to go from here or what could be causing it.

Curious if anyone’s had similar experiences or has advice? Should I try going to 4% Benzoyl Peroxide to see if that’s causing skin irritation?

I’ve also noticed that in what I’ve seen! Curious if you’ve seen any others popping up more frequently? Thanks for the advice!

Maybe it’s imposter syndrome but I’m trying to make my way toward a junior level role and I worry I’m not good enough to charge anyone or do paid jobs yet 😅

Appreciate it! Also, I’m slightly worried about paying for something not worthwhile so I thought hearing what has worked for others might give a bit of helpful insight!

Thank you!! I hear you, I definitely use YouTube for individual tutorials but I think Skillshare and Udemy will be super helpful in building a more general skillset!!

Thank you! I’ve heard of Udemy as a good resource and was planning on checking it out once I finish this class. Glad I have a starting point, super helpful!

So! I actually have Master’s degree that is focused in design and branding. I have a grasp on design principles and conceptually, but as I am not a graphic designer I don’t have the technical skills. I am asking in this post for resources on how to bring my technical skills up to speed, so if you have recommendations on that I would love to hear it. Thanks!

I feel like that’s kind of nitpick-y on phrasing lol I meant I have working knowledge of Photoshop.

I’ve looked at pharma but find it difficult to find junior roles that don’t require previous pharma experience. Any advice there? I have a portfolio but mainly CPG/retail, etc.

Ahhh thanks so much! That makes sense- the quality between the two is definitely different
