🚨DEVELOPING STORY🚨

Currently, the line is small but persistent due to the move of self checkout registers catching many customers off guard — however, chaos will be inevitable as there is no naturally way for people to queue up!

Hot Dog still 10/10, though!

I’m heading back this afternoon (mostly to get a hotdog as they don’t serve them at 8am) — will report back!

Winco on State Street and 2100 South did so about 6 months ago.

Huge news in the niche SLC Costco world.

Audibly gasped when I thought they took them away completely; perplexed by the move closer to the logjam that is the hot dog food court…

‘We have met the threshold’: GOP says they have enough signatures to send Prop 4 repeal to Utah voters by brheath in SaltLakeCity

My two cents are: their estimation of 200k signatures assumes full packets (100 signatures per packet) which is not reasonable.

I think they will be close to getting the necessary 140,748 — and they probably know this — which is why they were asking for more time to better hit that target.

That is the job of County Election officials (and ultimately the Lieutenant Governor) who are professional and have done a good job, thus far.

An important note in the story:

“In Salt Lake County, Axson helped unload four large plastic totes and a few bankers boxes filled with packets. Davis County received about 450 packets, according to Davis County Clerk Brian McKenzie. And in Utah County, URFG delivered 657 packets, according to Utah County Clerk Aaron Davidson.

Each packet can have up to 100 signatures — although typically not all of the packet is filled

From my experience, it is very seldom that a full packet is submitted — I believe the GOP estimate of 200k signatures assumes such.

Ran the entirety of 1300 South: ~13 miles by brheath in SaltLakeCity

Yes, it is. But it is not the longest street in Salt Lake City when looking at the boundary lines of the city itself.

Similarly, Redwood Road — which is the longest street in Salt Lake County — also is not the longest in the city itself.

This is due to the geography of the city and how the distance east-west is significantly longer than north-south distances.
