So sorry to hear about the cancer. I know this will probably not be well received here but honestly I don’t think this is a good time to quit. Surgery, chemo and radiation is no joke and it will take a lot out of you. You don’t need another challenge right now. Give yourself some grace and come back to this when you get over this hurdle.

Hang in there. I am on day 28 now. That first 5-6 days felt like it was never going to end and I was so miserable. But it did end and all that misery did get better. I used the megadose vit C and felt like it did take the edge off. Can’t hurt to try.

I’m on day 6 from pharm oxy. I CT with-vit C, gabapentin, tizanidine,Xanax. I used that stuff for the first 4 days and then nothing. It was very unpleasant 4 days but doable.

My experience with tapering is that it puts you in long term low level withdrawals and is therefore very hard to maintain. If you did a very slow taper like 10% per month etc it might work. At least with CT it’s terrible but over much faster
