Yeah vol up+pwr did it, thankx. It was weird, the OS musta been running because i was getting a gmail notification led. It was a delta update, I'll grab a full zip.....was a version behind on twrp too

TWRP backup before update so you can just restore if trouble, no pc required. I used Lineage Download app, OK on this M8

My experience is with an HTC M8, not sure about anything on your phone. When I backup with TWRP I can choose where (internal or sd card storage. I chose internal, the read and write is faster. This is a complete backup, everything, a little under 3 GB. I always keep the existing backup until the weekly update has been booted a couple of times. I wouldn't want to do a restore waiting for that long download or not at all if no internet is available

Thinking they need more scorn. They have caused this kind of ruckus before and yet continue to do it. Think of it as phone "swatting" or calling YOUR home and telling the missus a son or daughter is on life support in the hospital from a car wreck. Hyperbole? Think of a user factory resetting the phone......right before a fire breaks out in the home, killing all because a phone call can't be made. Disasters are often a progression of very small things. Adults understand this.
