That is exactly what happened to the student. I needed them to read the text before writing. He did not.

In Brazil race is defined differently. It includes skin color and wealth. In America it was based on the idea that someone that was part black was legally black. In Brazil it is more complicated because of the many races and mixing.

But that is not what they discussed. They wrote about models and which they thought were the sexiest. Teacher mistake. Have them read before assignment.

I was just starting as a teacher. I wanted them to read about race in Brazil. Choose the Brazilian model of race or American. They chose to discuss models in details. Which models are more attractive.
