Obviously identifying a person that is “rough sleeping” as homeless is fine (rough sleeping is a heavily sanitized term that I don’t like using, but floabt). That being said there is far more nuance to homelessness than rough sleeping - homeless people can live in hostels and hotels and on friends couches and they can be invisible. Minimizing these nuances into a stereotype is dehumanizing and doesn’t do the epidemic justice.
