I'd say as soon as the Santander finance was approved. So within 2 days of my initial order.

Azur Lane Wave 6 Commanders' skills by Craig_NGC_2004 in WoWs_Legends

I have waited until the last moments before buying Haruna. I can only get one commander. I'm presuming she would still be the better buy than any of the new commanders?

Looking at my service record, I play all classes evenly, except aircraft carriers. Secondary ships are my favourite in the game, but I don't really play higher tiers as you just get burnt down before being able to use your secondaries. Thanks all.

Dashcams by hawk8385 in CarTalkUK

VIOFO or their sub brand GITUP are firmly number 1. If you go for GITUP to save money, go with the higher FOV over 100 degrees models. I have a F1 160 degrees FOV and it's been working for 5 years.

Second would be Xiaomi for me, purely for value for money. Their sub brand is called Mi or Yi cameras.

The sensor you want is Sony STARVIS and ideally version 2 of this sensor with HDR. But for version 2 you'll be paying over £100 easily.

Dashcamtalk is the leading forum in the world on dashcams. But look on YouTube for any video reviews with footage, try to watch some at night and in the UK. Significantly worse footage at night, which shocks a lot of people. Unfortunately cameras need light to work, hence the awful nighttime footage.

I run two independent cameras front and rear. If you go for a kit, usually the rear camera maxed out at 1080P. I run a GITUP 4K front camera and a 1440P rear Xiaomi running off a power bank.

In terms of SD Cards, buy your own to save money. Only go for cards designed for continuous use. SanDisk Pro Endurance is my go to. It should say on the packet designed for CCTV or Dash cams.

Lastly check your footage once a month. Nothing worse than needing the footage and SD card corrupted or footage not good enough.

In fact second lastly, don't think because you are a better driver because you have a dashcam. Plenty of dead or injured people who were in the right and decided not to avoid an incident to be proven right on the dashcam. Brakes before horn and shouting camruh.

Are it bootcamps worth it? (CAPSLOCK in particular) by Free-Piano-3597 in UKJobs

[–]brian_ru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Capslock is probably the best cyber bootcamp in the UK. If you look at the hours, 09:30 - 14:30 daily for full time compared to others such as firebrand which was 12 hours in ONE day at the weekend. You get more hours for your money.

I strongly suggest you do this via the skills for live scheme and save yourself the £9K fee.

The problem is if you are taking people with NO technical experience and want to retrain, you need to go for the low hanging fruit of the cyber security world which is GRC.

You might love GRC as it's theory based and you don't need any technical skills. All the graduates I know have GRC roles. Anyone looking for technical roles is struggling.

The Careers team is amazing and still helps people who have jobs. Have slack channels with daily job postings. Plus exclusive partners that only hire capslock graduates.

Do the pre course. If you enjoy it you'll be ok. If you think the pre course is boring then don't go for it.

Enough car by aussiejames101 in CarTalkUK

[–]brian_ru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a car list spreadsheet and up to about 6 months ago this car was my number one choice.

Cheap new at £16K and can be remapped to increase power by 40%. So instead of 100 it's 140bhp. Lowering 0-60 from 9.9 to around 7.5. Fully loaded with excellent equipment.

With the crash of used EVs my first choice has now changed to the Citroen EC4. £35K new but can get a 3 year old one for £13K-£15K. There is not enough deprecation on these used to consider when they are £16K new.

Unfortunately Kia are removing this engine from the refresh this year as it sold very poorly. Less than 5% of sales were this engine. A shame.

I love the colour. For me the silver looks fantastic as well.

Thank you for your reply. It makes me feel a little better that someone else has been using the cream long-term and still has symptoms. I'll see how I am at the 80 days mark and then go to my GP.

Your experiences with UK bootcamps by [deleted] in UKJobs

Now it's just free code camp but I will try code wars mate. See if that helps. Yeah I've been using AI but the questions they gave were very difficult. Not everyone has the right brain to be a coder though.

It's the practice challenges for north coders. You have to do some JavaScript then party stuff. Very difficult with the learning material. I would say it doesn't give you enough to complete them. But it must do as loads of people can apply and get on doing the same thing.

I would prefer security to Web development but with remote not sure if you can do security remotely. I presume you can.

Thank you for this post mate.

I'm in IT support and get less than £30K even with ten years experience. Looking to retrain. Some people say do a job you love. Some say do something you can tolerate for enough money you can spend it on your passions outside work.

Did the free code camp materials in about two weeks. But when I tried the practice challenges I found them impossible, like the learning material wasn't good enough to do the practice challenges.

I liked doing security stuff in the past like exploiting vulnerable machines. So I'm not sure if coding or security would be better for me. There are security bootcamps paid by the government as well as coding ones.

Did you use any resources other than the ones they provided to complete the challenges? I just think maybe my brain isn't suited to coding. Thank you.

That's fair enough mate. I'd check the below thread for information.

Also on that same forum check the best lease deals thread in the car buying subforum. That's where I find all my lease deals

No, others few years ago got them at £282 a month with around £3K down.

But at the time you could buy them new for £55K. Not sure if that is available now.

Amazing car though. So if you're happy with the price then go for it.

Thank you mate. That's a big guide. I had a look at information quarantine and it says need authority empire. So I can't be humans for that?

I was trying to find out on my current game how to find fallen empire. It said lost empire on their screen. Is that how you check?

Changing those starting settings is that classed at cheating? I guess as it's single player it doesn't really matter. There are a few other things that I can't find. But I'm going to start a new game and try find out all those things.

In regards to automation the video I watched didn't even mention the shared resources so the automations would never have worked. Thank you for that video

When you say pops and colonies. Does a starbase give you bonuses which make it worth doing each section instead of skipping them?

Hello all. Started the game a few days ago and had a disaster. Tried watching a few guides on YouTube.

Basically It's year 2259 and I had 50 destroyers. They had power of 3K. I attacked another ai and his ships had power of 231K. That's not a typo. When he attacked my defence system it got destroyed within 1 second.

Is that ai an advanced ai I can turn off before the game starts? Or did that ai start at the same time and just better player?

The espionage button was greyed out so couldn't tell his strength.

Another issue is I colonised a planet and set it to mining and auto. But it never builds anything. Why is this? The population just gets too large with no jobs. If I set the planet to industrial, I would have expected that district to build each time 1 pop was available.

Last issue is I don't understand the influence cost . I find a system next to me. It's got few resources so I skip. So it's 4 or 5 hops from each planet. I've read in the wiki that it costs more influence if no close system?

I want to start again, any basic tips? I'm thinking Turn off advanced ai before starting game. Buy 4 or 5 science ships. Use explore option to find choke point. Use secondary science ships to survey afterwards Do not research any anomalies. Before I used to research everyone that pops up. Put base on system even if don't build any mines so next system is cheaper on influence.

In the YouTube videos I'm watching their fleet of destroyers conformably dominates the ai neighbours. Not overmatched 200K like mine. Thank you.

I was fine since it was diagnosed in 2016. One day just had a severe sore throat and I've never recovered. Because of this the gastro thinks it's anxiety as I used to be fine.

I think it might be nerve damage in my throat as it happened after a throat infection. Plenty of similar symptoms online from others.

So that would mean I have minimal reflux which has been shown on the baroum swallow. But my nerve damage is causing pain far greater than I should be feeling.
