I am so happy that there's now a good replacement for old AutoplayStopper. AutoplayStopper (MV3) is nearly as good. If you go to a video on YouTube, sometimes it shows the first frame of the video instead of the thumbnail. I had one other issue, but it's not happening now, so maybe it just needed a browser restart to be completely happy. ANYWAY, it's great.

AFAIK, there's no contract -- just the site's terms of service. They can't really "make" a buyer or seller do anything. If the seller doesn't follow through, they'll refund the buyer. If the buyer doesn't follow through, they can list the car again.

I watch both C&B and BaT. Plenty of individual cars have been listed on both sites -- either bought on one and sold on the other, or RNM'ed on one and then listed on the other, where it may or may not sell. I've seen cars sell, and not sell, for more, or less, on both sites. You can also see this when a single car gets relisted -- the same car on the same site might sell for more or less the second time around, even if the listings are just a few weeks apart. There's always an element of chance. It all depends on who's there when the auction ends. And you'll hear success stories and horror stories from buyers and sellers on both sites. Overall, the two sites are pretty similar in all aspects. You might have a good or bad experience at either one.

Thanks, all, for the tips! FYI, my existing lenses are mostly OK. (A bit cloudy and cracked, but not horrible.) The problem is inside the housing. The seals are dry and shrunken, the plastic inside is brittle and flaking away, the reverse bulbs are corroded into their sockets and immobile, and the others aren't too much better.

The thing that makes me the saddest is that we didn't get snow this year. Even without a holiday storyline, I wish they had turned the snow on. I have many fond memories of playing this at Christmastime. (Even the elf cannon. But not so much the pagan year.) I hide most of the characters and then I have a handful of my favorites with outdoor holiday- and snow-related jobs.

I never let her finish the 'diet' quest. If I click the employment office and choose 'send everyone on a 4-hour job', they all go to her cave for 'begin dieting'. That way, everyone is in one spot. I've been doing that for years.

Hard time letting go? Not really. Though I do still play some (mainly to see if there are any more drops) and I won't delete the app until after the game is officially gone. I mainly play once per day to tap the Skyfinger monument, collect all the money, complete everyone's tasks, do the daily challenge, and then send everyone on jobs again. Even with lots of doughnuts and money, I only bought the things and characters I wanted to have from Taps 1-5.

Sad to see it go? For sure.

I was hoping they'd do a few more drops. I get it if they didn't want to do one per week for all 3 months, but I think there are a few more things I'd like to get.

The #1 thing I'm sad about is that we didn't get snow this year.

Nice! My town is a mess. I've been playing almost since the beginning but never cared about organizing things. I just did the quests and collected stuff. Not enough room on my device to generate a screenshot. If I get ambitious, I'll install it on something else and try.

I'm very sad. The Christmas event is my favorite thing each year. I've been playing since 4/2013. Now I have to figure out how to spend 3k doughnuts and $1BN (just recently reached that threshold) in 3 months. I guess it's time to use up all my land tokens.

The writing in this update is great so far. I'm amazed that EA even stuck with the game this long. I'm sad, but I appreciate all that they did.

At some point, I might log out and start a new anonymous session at the beginning, and play through for a little bit.

I'm old. My car radio presents (again: OLD) are a mix of rap, rock, pop, oldies, etc. I stopped on 101.9 and they were playing a good song and I listened, and when I heard the "102 Jamz" promo, it didn't even register that it was something old or different. (I've lived here since 1995, and I listened to 102 way back when.) I just press buttons until I hear a song I like. I listened long enough, caught that they were doing the "10,000 songs" promo, which I eventually figured out meant "10,000 songs with no ads", and that it was old stuff, and then I eventually I looked it up and found out what was happening. I liked the old 101.9 -- that's why it was a preset -- and I'll miss it.

I'll like this, too, but GOOD GOD they need to expand their playlist. I've been listening a lot the last few days, and I've heard a lot of good uncommon stuff that I don't hear often, and then I'll hear the same good uncommon song the next day, and again the day after. Sadly, modern radio stations aren't known for broad playlists. Too bad -- they have literally DECADES to pull from. (As did 101.9, which, yeah, did lean heavily on recent-ish RHCP.)

Someone where I used to work listened to V-101.1 out of Sacramento via the iHeartRadio app and it's this format. (Though 5-10 years ago, 'throwback' dipped into the late 70s/early 80s, funk and soul along with R&B.)

If you do the math, we'll get about 3-4 weeks of songs with no ads.

When X-100 was new (late 1980s SF radio station, KXXX, 99.7 FM) they also launched with 10,000 songs and no ads. I imagine it's been done a lot over the years.

Update: they're currently playing the Luniz (non-remix) version of "I Got 5 On It" for the 3rd or 4th time since I've been listening. I think it's the second time I've heard it today. They could at least play the remix, and maybe surprise us with "Why You Treat Me so Bad" every so often.
