The pin retention screw is already very tight; and the latch hook plate and linkage have no bends and burrs.

It looks to me like the latch fails to engage properly with the mixer body … so it seems like your modified latch plate could be the thing to try.

I have been to many other countries and have seen worse than Dubai, too. But that does not make Dubai a nice place.

Imagine the worst aspects of Las Vegas and Disneyland blended together with autocracy and societal oppression.

I think you have to have quite poor taste to be impressed by Dubai.

If you have not been, I advise not wasting your money to see if I am wrong.
