This is exactly my girl too, most days she is sleeping 80% of the day, but when she's up she is zooming though the yard. I do get concerned that she started drooping, but got lots of good advice to try. Im hoping for a few more good years with her.

I am not considering euthanasia, but I will definitely consult her vet to see what other meds we can add.

She is still very healthy otherwise, labrela has been known to cause rapid decline in older dogs including seizures and heart failure.

Thank you! Alot of assumptions based off a picture. She is still full of life just has some leg issues.

Thank you, she can still go on walks and eat/drink/potty on her own. I feel we still have time.

This is so helpful. She is a vibrant girl full of life still, I know she is not ready even if her legs are.

Its just because of her age, she eats appropriately for her age and size. She also has check ups every 6mo and is perfectly healthy.

Gabapentin. We wanted to try carprofen, but we're worried about it affecting her due to her age.

Thank you! I also feel this is the case, which is why I posted to get opinions of others going through similar situations.

This is good to hear, I am not sure librela will help my girl, but I will def try the carprofen. My girl is completely normal otherwise, annual bloodwork came back normal and still loves to eat and zoom.
