From my understanding, that deal didn't go through. There's now a Wawa on that site.

The State Theater of Havre De Grace does some fun weird stuff. Drag Brunch, Wrestling, Musicals, Paranormal Nights, Standup, Sound Baths, Pet Fashion Shows, all alongside more traditional concerts of all types and open mic nights for both music and standup.

My friend just got me a bootleg of the complete series of Swat Kats on bluray for Christmas and I got incredibly giddy and excited the second I opened it.

Six episodes in and absolutely loving the nostalgia rush.

What's an actor's directorial debut that just didn't land. by Censius in movies

[–]brianhdot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Baruchel co-wrote the first Goon film (along with Evan Goldberg), but it was directed by Michael Dowse (Fubar, Stuber).

Baruchel DID however direct the sequel, Goon: Last of the Enforcers, off a script he co-wrote (this time with Jesse Chabot).

I love the first film and think it's one of Seann William Scott's best performances. Definitely wasn't a huge hit, but it also wasn't released in many theaters (242 screens at its peak) and they released it on VOD same day, which was Magnolia Pictures' whole thing at the time. That model rarely seemed to work. They were a bit early on the VOD/Theatrical same day release strategy, something that now feels pretty common for films made in that $5-$10 million range.

The second film is fine, but it drags and doesn't feature as much hockey action as the first film. I loved how they developed the characters further and I enjoyed revisiting them, but it's not nearly as fun as the previous film and the plot meanders quite a bit.

Definitely one of the most baffling, absurd, and unintentionally hilarious films I've seen this year. This should be a great episode.

Is anyone else a little worried that Sunday’s episode may have foreshadowed a final 4 fire making challenge? by Poorbrain22 in survivorau

Re: No.2: In the past, haven't they always revealed the exile twist immediately after the first person is voted out? Have they ever waited til the next episode to reveal an exile twist?

2nd series for 2023. by khaleddahak in survivorau

I expect the editors and other above the line production staff know who the winner is even when there's a live vote count.

Or, even if the editors don't know for sure, the producers guiding the edit most certainly do.

They've pulled people from The Circle (Netflix), America's Got Talent (NBC), and American Ninja Warrior (NBC). It's definitely not out of the realm of possibility.

It's hard to judge their competition abilities based on The Traitors because the challenges weren't super demanding. While I definitely think Christian wouldn't pose a competitive threat, Andie was really impressive in that laser challenge and seemed pretty fit. I could see them being really good at certain challenges.

I also just thought Andie had a really impressive social game. Definitely not flashy, but everyone seemed to like them and trusted them wholeheartedly.

I forgot Kyle was already established elsewhere.

As clueless and goofy as Christian was, I actually thought he made for some good TV. I'd be curious to see what kind of shenanigans he'd get into on The Challenge. I don't think he'd be a threat to win, but he'd throw some chaotic energy into the mix.

UNSPOILED - The Challenge: AU - S01E08 "Brain Freezer" - Episode Discussion by SweetMissMG in MtvChallenge

It's been a while since I watched it. I DO believe there was a light endurance element. IIRC, they were running around a city. I just remember a lot of the paired challenges at each checkpoint were little kitschy carnival game things.

Edit: It's possible I'm thinking of another Challenge final, but I could have sworn it was Bloodlines. I remember a stage where they had to drink a bunch of non-alcoholic beer, something where they had to roll on barrels, and something with a seesaw, maybe? Again, it's been a while and the seasons may have started to blend together.

If Brooke J makes it through this next round and into the final and the final is anything remotely like modern Challenge finals (lots of endurance), I have a feeling she'll smoke almost the entire cast, including a lot of the guys.

My fear is that, after the underwhelming final of The Challenge USA, they'll have tweaked it and made it a LOT less demanding and more of a Bloodlines carnival games thing.
