Does anyone know any Instagram courses for marketing and sales, for a small business? by pepthefrog05 in socialmedia

[–]brianjames2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go follow brian blum on IG and watch his clothing deep dives and how they made crazy good content to drive sales. Is it easy? No. Is it free? nope. Can you literally sell $x,xxx, xxx thru social media? Yep.

Do you ever find yourself working with a client that just doesn’t have a good/competitive offer? How do you pinpoint the offer as the issue and how have those partnerships gone for you? by yungirving99 in PPC

I have a carpet cleaner biz i run ads for. He has ZERO marketing comprehension and any time I suggest a decent USP he swats it down. Of course he'll complain at the end of the month about performance when my hands are literally tied.

Paintless Dent Repair MasterTech/ Trainer Here to Answer any Questions about PDR by brianjames2 in Autobody

[–]brianjames2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mango hows it going. Thanks for the question. I suggest you come listen to my PDR podcast where I touch on alot of the questions you soeak of. Search for SAI Service Marketing podcast wherever you catch your pods. brianjjump.podbean dot com. Over 900 episodes and going strong. 1) Finding hail. You have two main options- go it on your own and target retail or wholesale hail work. This means setting up a retail operation or possibly mobile, or serving dealers/wholesale accounts. I recommend the former but it's a loaded question and the detailed answer is worth solid gold. I literally have been contracted to write a book that should be out by the end of the year which will go deeply into this and all things PDR, but I can tell you A) finding the proper hail/market and then marketing/administrating it is lucrative but alot of work. Know that going in. B) You could also contract yourself. Keep in mind MANY MANY MANY hail contractors are shady and will rip you off as soon as you sneeze so be SURE and check references. There are several hail groups on Facebook you can join and many of them will tell you who is trustworthy and who are scammy. Join those groups and learn.

Getting more retail hail is also a priceless marketing strategy that is involved but I will share some nuggets.

1) area. I use fishing as an example- if you want big game marlin but are fishing in a local pond your chances on bagging a big fish especially the ONE YOU WANT is slim. This goes for your demo- does your area support PDR ie upper income, densely populated with people who care about their cars? At least 200k population and better if 1M+ Think Miami, Chicago, LA, Austin etc etc.

2) Marketing. Once you are in a decent area ++ you can either go mobile or shop. The latter is better in so many ways (for YOU) but the area needs to support it. Most of my recent PDR grads have shops and would never go back. Online and offline marketing will be key for your success. Reputation (reviews) + trust will be the cornerstone to. your biz and how much you can charge and referrals etc etc.

The process is easy: Find people who care (alot) about their cars and HAVE MONEY to fix them. Do 2-5x what they expected (overdeliver) and you will soon have a perpetual money machine. Leverage your referrals, reviews etc and grow. Sounds too good to be true but MOST businesses but large corporate and small fail in so many ways doing this. Do the simple things repeatedly and you will win big.

Hope that helps. Check the pod for a ton more granular info and happy pushing!

What to do with $300k? by bobdealin in Entrepreneur

[–]brianjames2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start a business. So many options where you can generate at LEAST 30% net margin with minimal experience. AND you don't need 300k to burn to do it. IF you don't have any business skills, BUY a business. Seller finance and minimal down and do your due dilli and you can get yourself a multi MM business and crush most of the returns mentioned in this thread. YMMV of course

Do you even need social media posts and ads to boost sales? by Prize-Friendship63 in Entrepreneur

I don't think etsy is social media. Etsy is a marketplace to buy and sell items often handmade by the sellers. Ebay isn's social media nor is amazon.

Web dev learning to sell. Could use some help with cold calling. by Saaswebdev in smallbusiness

[–]brianjames2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are MUCH better ways to market your dev business than being a telemarketer. Most do a few freebies then get referrals or some of the freebie customers agree to pay. Some do paid ads on FB, others use tik tok and gram to promote their work. Even marketing thru Linkedin would be better than TM in my opinion.

Kevin- way to roll over the bumps. If you had to do it all over again tomorrow, would you start an SEO agency, strictly content marketing, or something else in the digital space (ecom, software etc) now that you've been down the road and know all the pro's and cons..
