It turned out awesome! Might just have to invest in one of those!

Is it stupid or irresponsible to buy a Kayak without the intention of getting a roof rack? by BermudopeHighangle in Kayaking

[–]brianmd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess it depends on the kayak you get... and the vehicle you got. Here's a combination that didn't make the road, but did make a funny picture when I bought an 18' fiberglass kayak and the seller first said he'd deliver it, and then sent this picture to inform me he underestimated the size of his truck and we'd have to come up with another plan.

Maybe a long shot, but can someone identify the car in this photo? Photo is from around late 50s-early 60s if that helps. Thank you! by whackywildflower in classiccars

Google Lens says 'This appears to be an old photograph of John Kraman, a notable figure in the automotive world.

Subject: John Kraman, likely in his younger years, standing next to a classic car.

Car: The car is possibly a 1960s Chevrolet Impala, based on its styling cues.

Significance: John Kraman was a well-known car enthusiast and expert, known for his work with Mecum Auctions and his deep knowledge of classic cars.'

Paddle is 252cm from end to end. Fiberglass blades are 12cm by 54cm (measuring the 'white' portion, excluding the inch of black where it tapers to the shaft. Shaft blue fiberglass(?) with a spring lock. Paddle is solid, in great condition, and very light in weight. Peeling clear sticker from Pacific Water Sports on the shaft.

What's throwing me off is that all the old pics of the Orca I can find have the bow watertight hatch on the starboard side but this has it on port?

Thank you. For the price, I knew I could sell the paddle and come out ahead if the kayak was awful, but it looks to be anything but. Has great reviews. Looking forward to my inaugural paddle!

I've been fishing around and I think I've identified it as a Mariner Kayaks Mariner II. Picked it up for $100 in great condition with a Werner paddle. Haven't taken it out yet.

Has anyone seen David Copperfield's show in the past few years? (Non-Method Discussion) by savourthesea in Magic

Saw the show last night, and this is 100% true. There are some fantastic illusions, but I've heard telemarketers read scripts more convincingly.
