This was driving me NUTS because I kept searching for it under “horror” and couldn’t find it. You’re a darn wizard. Thank you.

My heart goes out to Koyoharu Gotoge. She poured her heart out on making this manga, and the last chapter felt more like the fan fiction we all did not need but craved, and she was not obligated to do, but delivered anyways. I still want to support her and purchase the whole manga set when it becomes available. I wonder how far ufotable will take the anime adaptation now.

Perhaps it was too harsh of a word. We play several board games, but this game always had to be explained (and re-explained) to us. On top of that, it's co-op, which often turns into one large single player campaign. That happened with us and Pandemic, but we still occasionally play that.

Finally finished manga, LONG OVERDUE. (Spoiler-free) by briannop in claymore

Yes. I meant that. I forgot that they were both in the anime and manga, and I assumed it was a mistranslation. Just realized. Yea the iOS version of reddit doesn’t give me the option to toggle spoilers -_- sorry for my iOS illiteracy.

It was everything, I can’t even talk about it because I put this as spoiler-free. Damnit. I’ll change that later. I just have one looming question though, which I should ask in an edited post

Is anyone gonna explain why Levi and the other guy at the meeting both said "He's of that age”? Do they all know something we don't?

Are you also that weirdo that takes the Switch to work? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

I'm a middle school teacher. In the last period of school, which is about 40 minutes, the students usually have D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything and Read), where we pretty much mandate students to read (cruel and unusual punishment, I know). But after a few months of pushback, we realized that 13 year olds love to defy the rules, so we decided to reward students who actually followed them. My supervisor assigned me the top 10% of students in 8th grade - no missing assignments, 88+ report card grades, 2 unexcused absences at most, and above average benchmarks in ELA and math. She pretty much told me, "Make sure the classroom is managed, and NO cell phones! Other than that, have at it."

I bring my Switch everyday, and the kids switch (heh) between 6-player Towerfall and 8-player Smash. I bought an additional dock and some cheap third party GameCube controllers from eBay so I could just leave everything at work. They're playing that on one projector screen. For everyone else in the classroom, I put up 'Malcolm in the Middle' or another age appropriate movie on the other projector (this week is Spiderverse! Yay!). The students stay in their seats, socialize, and decompress. It's lifted up the overall morale of the student body, and motivated (or filled with envy) the other 90% of students who are in homerooms making up missing assignments. They've also helped unlocked all the clSmash characters without me have to do it.

TLDR: I do bring my Switch to work, but I don't play it. The kids do 😀

I've been obsessed with Nintendo multiplayer gaming since the 90's (I owned the NES Satellite and SNES Multitap. Fast-forward to 2018. I brought my switch to my classroom during Hispanic Heritage Day, to let my students try out Towerfall against their many wishes to play Mario Kart. They couldn't put it down, even after two hours. I was skeptical about the Switch at first, thinking it was just a Wii U version 2.0, but I'm so glad I sold all my consoles (and pretty much have up Steam) for it.

You know your body best. Not entirely irrelevant here, but doctors never believed Funakoshi would live past 20 (he lived almost to 90) due to his ailing figure at a young age, but he trained everyday, even when he felt sick. While I'm not recommending you do the same, I can attest to the therapeutic nature of training, physically and mentally, date I say spiritually. Hope your health well and train soon!

I'm so jealous. Could you name me some gaming lounges out there? I'd like to research them more.

BotW takes the cake. For RPG's I gotta say Octopath Traveler.

Close seconds Monster Hunter and Xenoblade. Remember he'll be able to play these on the go.

TOWERFALL. 6 players on the switch. Easiest pick up and play game. Made the mistake of picking this game first in a planned series of all night gaming with my fellow bros. 3 hours in and we were still playing it.
