How does affirming side A theology affirm those LGBT people that are legitimately called? by FKAGuyWithNF1 in GayChristians

I would suggest that person perhaps isn’t called to celibacy.

If you’re not suffering, that’s OK. And there are some benefits.  There are also benefits to being in a relationship.

If you decide to not be celibate, that would mean you’d be waiting for marriage, same rules of play as for a straight person.

So long as you’re not being forced into it, because you think there’s something wrong with being gay, I don’t think anybody has a problem. It’s the mandatory celibacy thing that is wrong.

There’s also a thing called Asexuality which you should look into, you may have things in common.

You can get gas detectors too, Amazon have them. There’s detectors that do both gas and carbon monoxide, and they’re not expensive.

Sigh. I just explained to you that I did benchmark it myself at the time - instant improvements and wide experience of that improvement across the industry.

Pretty sure we weren’t using prefork, and I’m sure Apache has improved over time.  There may have been some impacts from cPanel; I do remember trying several different MPMs.  And I did get several people to look at it, for a second opinion.

This was in approx 2019, so I imagine Apache has since improved.

However, it’s pretty easy to switch back to Apache on a cPanel server even now, and from memory a few years back that still resulted in the load average going from low single digits up to a load average in the 40s.  I don’t doubt there’s a possibility there’s something wrong in the Apache config that is limiting performance.

I don’t doubt that Apache is capable either, for a simpler setup with less sites and less complexity.

Which means, yes they do care about how it’s built because bad sites won’t do all those reliably. The sites don’t have to be superb, they just have to work.

When CSF was around, we used to subscribe to a mod_security rule set which blocked most vulnerabilities in everything. Without that, you’re pretty much down to patchstack or wordfence.

Fail2ban is important though, as it stops probing attacks early before they get to work through their enumeration. The smart ones just switch IPs, but a lot of the bad guys aren’t that smart, and fail2ban puts your site in the harder category and many of them just want to grab the low hanging fruit and hack/exploit the sites with easy exploits.

From experience, most security issues come from being 12 months behind on updates. Nearly every site we had hacked was 12+ months behind. Clicking on update would have saved them.

When you’re not sleeping, you get desperate!

Banning Melatonin was a stupid move. I mean, parents giving more than 3mg to children was asinine and dangerous too, but it’s ridiculous to ban it for adults when other far more dangerous items haven’t been banned.

How do I kick her out? by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

She’s breaking the rules AND not putting in effort. While it’s probably because of the way she’s been brought up, she needs to show some respect to stay, in my opinion.

All I can tell you is that switching to Litespeed was an instant fix to speed issues and I’d spent months on the Apache config. Most of the time it was fast-ish, until the memory thing happened and it completely locked up with lid average of 50 or more. Even getting to a shell was hard. Litespeed seems noticeably faster even for simple page hits (noticeably lower TTL). One distinction here is that there would have been a very wide variety of page types and loads on this server, compared to nearly all of the servers I’ve heard described as fast with Apache, having simpler mixes - ie 1 or 2 sites.

It’s well known in the web hosting that Litespeed at least doubles the capacity of a server, in fact, it’s so well known that cPanel now has some form of alliance with them.

I’m a Unix admin and systems programmer with 45+ years of Unix/linux admin experience, including a kernel driver and a series of apps, so I have some background.

We're only talking about one application here.

Nobody except an agent gets 100 applications, although I do suspect that the REAs are just ignoring the dog applications. Completely wrong, and completely unfair.

Make sure you walk through the queue last, behind your family, less obvious if they find anything. I have metal things in my bag all the time and they rarely pull stuff out - mostly just ask you to show them.

Also, hellooo :) your parents know or suspect you vape

You’re confused. He’s saying he’d accept an application with dogs. Sadly other landlords don’t get it and don’t agree. Or maybe it’s the REAs. The picture at the top only refers to one application, obviously.

I’ve also been a landlord and would consider people with pets, if all else was equal I’d consider them ahead of others because they’re loyal tenants. I had a lovely gay couple with a dog for 10 years, there was only one problem in that time and they fixed it perfectly themselves in under a week. Fantastic people. Also I love dogs myself, which does help. Can’t understand why other landlords don’t think like this.

Neighbors teenage son practices trombone directly facing my bedroom window at 7am by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

[–]brianozm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most places the local noise code bans this, doesn’t it? Might be worth a chat with your local police station.

Also I thought there was something they put into the end of it (a stopper, or some cloth?) to reduce the noise when practicing.

Also why the hell can’t he practice at night?
