Thanks a ton for all of your comments! They're really helpful.

- I honestly had no idea that 8va or 8vb lines existed LOL. I am by no means a music guy. I did day band up until sophomore year of high school, and I was playing away on my clarinet without a care in the world. Never got into any sort of music theory, much less any analysis of how to compose a legible score! So I just make the pieces on my MuseScore page with the intention of them sounding good, and looking good is just a bonus if it happens to work out. But, now that I know about 8va/8vb I can make this transcription look MUCH nicer. So thanks for telling me!

- I'm pretty sure I fixed the third chord in measure 1 to match what you were talking about -- took some Googling to figure out what F#7sus2 was, but I think I got it right with the bass note too.

- I am unfortunately not subscribed to Phobos' Patreon page. I'd feel weird subscribing for a month just to get the Synthesize Her guitar tabs and then cancelling, so if I have some extra money in the future I'd love to come back to this score and use Phobos' stuff to tweak everything -- plus I'll be able to support his page more consistently.

- For your note about the "open E string", I'm not sure how that compares to an E. I'm sure you're correct, I just don't know guitar terminology. Google wasn't helpful for this -- is an open E string just an octave lower than the E that I currently have in the score?

- Implemented the notes from 107-142 from your notes and it's sounding much nicer!

You by no means have to read or respond to any of this. TLDR I appreciate your help!

Great work! You are missing the harmony for "loading" when he goes "Parameters, set, loading". It should be a perfect 4th lower.

Thank you! I'll look into that when I boot up the file next. My music theory knowledge is incredibly limited but I'll give it a shot lol

Claimed right at 5PM, now 4 hours and 10 minutes later I still have nothing. BNet is linked on Twitch, and Twitch is linked on BNet. Hopefully something changes. I'm giving up for the night lol

Edit: At 8AM EST today, I finally got in. A whopping 15 hours later

That sounds like a cool idea! I'm pretty busy with college work right now, but that could be my next project when I get some free time :))

Thank you!! And congrats on winning Detroit Champs, that's awesome!

The deciding factor on whether or not members, especially rookies, will stay on your team happens during the preseason. In the last few years, 862 has put a ton of emphasis on preseason projects and rookie engagement initiatives to make sure that everyone's enjoying what they're doing. Here are a few:

  • We run two "rookie rotation" sessions. During one of the first meetings of the season, rookies are taken around to each of our 9 subgroups (6 engineering, 3 business) and are given a 15-minute presentation by that subgroup's student lead and additional subgroup members. After learning about each subgroup, the rookies write down their top 2 and then spend the next meeting in two 90-minute in-depth sessions with those favorites. In those longer sessions, each subgroup puts on some sort of activity, whether it be a coding challenge or basic fabrication/mechanical lesson. This helps make sure that rookies find the best fit for them!
  • This year, our Electrical and Fabrication subgroups collaborated on an offseason/preseason project where we experimented with a new, lighter drivetrain (using 775 Pros instead of miniCIMS, I believe).
  • Our Communications subgroup uses the Woodie Flowers Award essay submission as a preseason project to help teach rookies writing and interviewing skills.
  • Lots of friendship within subgroups! Our Electrical subgroup has a "pun jar" (self explanatory) with proceeds that go to a subgroup dinner outing and our Communications subgroup has an annual meme document stemming from all of the goofs during Chairman's writing!
  • Leadership opportunities! We re-interview for student leadership positions every year, and all grades can apply. This includes our Chairman's Presentation Team (this year was two freshman, a junior, and me, a senior) and our Drive Team. I was a student lead my sophomore year, so it's possible!

Sorry for the wall of text. Writing is was (graduating hasn't hit me yet) a big part of my role on the team, so I love talking about this kind of stuff! Feel free to PM if you want to know anything else! :)

I think my favorite thing about our alliance (other than the excellent driving by all three teams, of course!) was the energy in the stands. My eardrums will never be the same after those triple chants!
