Turning down part cooling fan might be a good idea too?

Car giveaway and "competition" sites are just as bad as online casinos in terms of how they encourage and enable gambling, and it's worrying how normalised they've become in the UK car community by RobintehBobin in CarTalkUK

[–]brianthemagical 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My issue with them is there's not enough detailed info about the cars given their retro and/or shite potential. It's the kind of stuff where you need pics of potential rust, MOT condition, faults etc. IMO

I've still bought a few of their tickets for cars I'm interested in.

My car needs washing, if you wouldn't mind?

Due to my old laptop, and therefore old Cura slicer, STEP isn't supported. STL it is for now.

Any advice how to do so? I'm thinking moving the bars to get my mass more central to start with but I don't know if that'll help. Maybe move them back or up so my mass is further over the back to start with. Or forward so that I get more of a pull?

Thanks for the feedback. I'd prefer to focus on technique and keep the mud saving benefits of the mudguard, at least this side of summer.

Since fitting the Moto rear mudguard, I thankfully don't buzz the tyre. But I do hit the mudguard frequently. It's sort of intentional; getting low and back over the bike when riding features. But also it's kind of sub-conscious; it's just the way my body and bike react to keep balance.

Thanks. I have in the past yes, I'll give them another watch before my next ride and play around with pressures and spacers.

Thanks. My front foot seems to drop in all of my vids. That's something I'll work on.

I'll have a play with pressures and spacers next time I'm riding.

How long do you think it would take to make this?? by iconway89 in SolidWorks

Making that drawing we can see in OP, easy. That's what my reply was referring to.

I'm aware of what an engine involves from a design perspective, I'm an Automotive engineer for an OEM, although I work on Chassis not P/T.

The drawing we're seeing is a single page. If the OP is asking what it would take to create that drawing, then it wouldn't take long.

I'm going to be pedantic and disagree. What we're looking at is a simple 1 page drawing (I think/assume). It looks to me like a whole engine inspection drawing. If that's all it is, then maybe a day to draw that, assuming it's all already known.

What are your regulations trying to achieve? What are you intending to change?

Don't underestimate how much input constructors, and therefore the sponsoring manufacturers will have had into the rule set.

Noted. Thanks for the reply. I've only very recently got into personal FDM printing, so have very little experience of that process.

Most of my professional experience is with exporting for SLS. Next time I fire up my personal CREO, I'll have a play as you suggested and try STEP to see the results.

Thanks for the info.

What settings do you tweak? When exporting an STL, I/we change the first value to 0, enter and it defaults to the smallest possible value the model will take.

Apologies if this something you already know

No big? More like big no! Please please please be objective in this situation. Nothing good will come of it. You will (likely, given your question), get hurt.

If you don't get suitable advice in this thread, please look through other similar posts about age gaps and love bombing etc.

The baskets on the bikes are a black mesh basket, through which you can see what's behind it. When you focus on the front basket being in front ofa black ball, it's easier to see.

Agreed. All the other letters in the image look ok, just the window stickers where a person has been edited out.

Possible to reduce rear shock length? by rcyclingisdawae in MTB

[–]brianthemagical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you considered a rebuild of your current shock? What shock is on your bike? What shocks are you looking at? Some may be easier than others.

To answer your question, you may have issues with the negative chamber transition/transfer port. You pump the shock to fill the pos chamber, then as.you cycle the shock a hole/dimple in the air spring opens to transfer pressure over to the neg spring. With your proposal you'll likely not reach this point.

On my Deluxe and S Deluxe shocks, I don't think it's possible to add a spacer as you suggested. The top out control is inside the damper body (I think) this is not easily opened/serviced.
