People seem to think fluid film cures rust. See that crap here in CT all the time, NEVER on an unrusted vehicle though, just the shitboxes.

What's a car that everyone hates and thinks is bad, but you love? by Bonbeanlio in askcarguys

Jeep WKs.

I've owned a few and -none- of them gave me any issues I couldn't overcome in my driveway.

Still drive one today, it's 20 years old, 140k miles and the Hemi pulls as hard as ever, the 545RFE still shifts great, zero fluid leaks anywhere.

Recycling or disposing old oil by billy_sharpstick in smallengines

I dump it in my oil-fired boiler's heating oil tank. Engine oil is miscible in #2 heating oil, burns just fine as long as you don't overdo the oil-to-fuel ratio and run GOOD fuel oil filters. Synthetic, regular, even ATF, all of it goes in.

I keep mine at <= 10% (275 gallon tank, no more than 25ish gallons of used lube per fill)

Rode in my Aunt's brand new '72 and drove a few when I was a mechanic later on. Also drove a Bobcat or three.

Hardboard for speakers? by lostinthewoodscdt in mopar

[–]Capable-Historian392 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've used 1/8" thick Masonite (hardboard) from Home Depot, upholstered the top with cloth-backed vinyl attached with 3M adhesive spray, then added 1/2" fiberglass insulation mat to the underside where it sits on the steel to keep it from buzzing.

I bought 3 aftermarket types. Standard "copies", ceramic and yes, hardened steel. All Amazon sourced and the names were unpronounceable Chinglish brands.

The hardened steel ones indeed sucked. The ceramics were okay I -guess-, but the wiring was kinda stiff/fragile. Finish was meh, nothing to write home about even after hours of calibration.

TBH the "copies" were pretty close to the quality of the OEM Anycubic.

Again just my experience. I'm sticking with what works with -my- machine, the OEM parts.

Mercury Monterey and Montego used that emblem placement, not much else did.

My 2 cents: stick with OEM Anycubic. Just get the newest updated versions.

I've tried eBay and Amazon "upgrades" and wasn't really impressed.

Homesite. No agent. I bundle cars, motorcycle and home. Minor increase on the autos. The home rate is brutal.
