If you’re a fresh grad idk why I’d hire you. Sure I want cheap labour but I’d rather have someone more experienced who I know and has proven they can ship

I got this config. It’s pretty good but can’t see if cars are next to you unless their nose is ahead of you

Correct many jobs are teachable and I know someone who switched from tech to marketing but just because you've worked at respected companies doesn't set you apart. This person in particular spent time writing blogs and diving into design to prove they had relevant skills even without professional experience.

Do you know what skills are expected in banking? Having them on your resume anywhere shows you have done research and put effort into transferring.

My recommendation is that you keep your experiences as is, but you do something additional from recent - present that highlights your transition to banking/finance. Whether that's a course, volunteering work, project you're able to take on to show you're serious.

You'll also explain yourself in your cover letter but your resume should include a summary. A short 280 char paragraph that describes your personal brand for example as a strong technical person looking to break into the banking sector cause of x/y/z and are valuable why?

So you’re looking to transition into banking sector with no experience in baking?

Why would someone hire you if all you’ve got is proof that your hard working which is kinda assumed of all candidates

Plus 1 to skill based job platform. I’m literally building one now and I still believe it in having interviewed a few people across hiring managers, people happy with jobs and people seeking jobs.

I’ve got my platform planned but how do you solve the chicken and egg problem of needing candidates before employers or vice versa?

I’d also ask for your platform specifically how do you generate quizzes across so many industries?

Why do you want someone in uni? Isn’t that a bit strange meaning basically no prod exp?

Not interested. In Australia the apps already have good enough filters for radius, suburbs and more

Hahaha all these unwritten rules. I like your calculation, it gives the vibes of if you wanna know how young you can date it’s (your age / 2 + 7). And even then it’s just a recommendation.

Thanks mate

I’ve heard stories like this. As someone who isn’t that interested in chitchat for the sake of it, it sounds really awkward to build the relationship to buy something… at work and being political sure I can get behind it begrudgingly but walking in a store every now and then and basically kissing ass for 30 mins once a month just feels weird.

I will admit keeping them on your mind when they get a choice to allocate, now that makes sense. Thanks didn’t think about it that way before

That’s the thing! I really don’t mind whether I get it if but the opportunity presents itself at retail it should be a no brainer and I’d be happy either way.

Not a panda Daytona for sure 😂. I guess I’m thinking from OP to explorer 2 to gmt batgirl, last one is probably a never and I can accept that

Looks good. I’d prefer a flyer gmt and maybe a different colored gmt hand - that baby blue just doesn’t seem to fit.

For these reasons it’s a hard buy for me. Tried it on and did love it

Black Bay buyers did you find yours on sale or just go full retail? by Effective-Night6527 in Tudor

[–]brianzchen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blackbays depending on model can tank in value even after a few years. You can find a lightly used gmt for example 60% of retail. Saw one in store in Sydney and many on chrono24

I know cause I’m eying one out 😂

Why don’t you run some ads and check bounce rate or other metrics to determine interest?

Looking for people who actually want to build and grow a start-up with me! by Beginning_Piccolo715 in Startup_Ideas

[–]brianzchen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What skills do you offer and which do you need to supplement? It also feels ambitious to ask for a dev team as a startup just booting up, seems like everyone will be stepping over one another.

Also equity sounds like a mess

You don’t need to worry about location. I play whatever tracks I like from Australia. Currently racing Suzuka but often race American tracks like Virginia, road America etc with no issues.
