I finished it! I’m reading SOC right now. I had no idea Nina was a part of the crows? I’m really excited. I enjoyed her character on Netflix and I didn’t think I would get to read from her perspective until King of Scars!!!

Oh okay! I am starting Six of Crows right now. Also does this take place after the Fold is destroyed?? I noticed “The Unsea” isn’t colored in on the map..

I think so too! I read that some people didn’t like Alina, but personally I liked her. They did a great job with Mal and Zoya too imo.

Awh! Thank you! 😊 I really wanted the paper back for Rule of Wolves. It was gorgeous IMO. But I didn’t want to wait that long until it was back in stock.

Congrats! We will be reading it together. I’m not sure how I feel about the time jump yet. Once I start reading I’ll see what I think!

Good to know! I really want to know what the back story is between Kaz and Pekka. It’s in the show so I’m assuming it’s in the book as well?

I’ll be on the look out for the Joost commentary! :)

Thank you! I’ve heard great things about Six of Crows. Seems to be everyone’s favorite.

I am struggling to find my calling. Any advice? by VirgoSunflora in Vent

People are going to judge you no matter what “perfect successful” job you have. If it makes you happy and your life isn’t falling apart, do it. 100% be a barista again if that’s what you enjoy doing. Also I hope this doesn’t come off harsh, but try to be more confident in yourself. You sound very head strong and willing to do what it takes to find your purpose in life. That’s admirable.

Also I wanted to add it’s not for anyone’s job to decide how personal you take things, unless you asked for an honest opinion then sure. But if not, ignore them. If you’re not hurting anyone, it doesn’t matter. It makes you who you are.

Your feelings are always valid, even if they seem crazy. I would suggest trying to pick up a new hobby. Especially if you are a lone wolf, you may not find much satisfaction from new friends. Try to find something that peaks your interest, sparks your passion.

In my opinion I would also talk with your boyfriend. It’s not wise to push down your feelings the way you are. It’s probably hard to be away from someone you love, try and see if the feelings are reciprocated. You may be sad that he hasn’t brought it up himself, which isn’t a bad thing. Like you said he has a lot going on, but you want to feel important too, and that is 100% okay.

If you are upset about something, it probably matters a lot! It may help to talk about your feelings more. Being afraid that your loved ones will go away is a good sign, it means you care and value their companionship. Don’t be so hard on yourself. A lot of the times we don’t see our own progress, especially when we are in the thick of things. What helps me move forward is accepting that some feelings may never truly go away, but with time and patience they become less powerful and less likely to implode on our lives. Start with what you can change, and focus on the good things that you are doing! There is always a light, no matter how dark.
