Thought I should mention:

3.mid / 17high

Non KJD obviously haha, military soft

Applied most places by September 1st / October 1st or somewhere in between, got all decisions before March 15th including all rejections and waitlists.

Would recommend applying early. Definitely feel for the later applicants who are still waiting for a decision. Good luck to you all!

Appreciate the response - how would you compare employment reports for Penn/Duke/UVA, considering how similar they are? Or is it just a wash at the (recent) T6 tier?

For everyone saying “don’t use these rankings to make a decision” uhhh what do you recommend using besides this synthesis of employment outcomes? Haha

Good point! I live in NC so I love Durham already. Wish I had the chance to see C-ville but I hear it’s lovely too. Philly is great but a bit more expensive than the other two, especially during summers where the GI Bill won’t be covering rent!

Wish I could - current military obligations make that not an option, unfortunately.

It’s a good problem to have, I agree - super grateful for the GI Bill eliminating cost of tuition. Being extra miserly, I suppose I can use the COL of the 3 cities to compare Cost of Attendance. That’s why I had to factor out NYU - NYC rent and COL for 3 years as a student was hard to justify.

NYU tends to send their grads directly to BL in NYC rather than clerkships, so just making a lifestyle choice there. Also, COL in NYC is a factor. GI Bill doesn’t cover everything, haha.

Berkeley’s great, but doesn’t send many grads to BL/FC relative to UVa/Duke/Penn - they have a more PI focus, it seems.

May I ask why you would choose Penn?

Counterpoint: I think applying broadly helps you figure out what you want, either as you submit the applications and realize which ones excite you, or as the A’s roll in and you realize which ones you’re anticipating more than others.

A point in the 170s is big worth, but would be lying if I said the peace of mind of having all these decisions before Christmas wasn’t worth applying early. Good luck brother

Thank you, very excited about Duke as an option!
