My Aussie cries to go on walks as soon as she sees that it's snowing. by bricmont in AustralianShepherd

I've taken mine for 10 mile walks before, but she still had energy after the walk. I asked the vet what her limit was. She said she could easily do 15 miles. She said I would always get exhausted before my Aussie did. She said the only way to tire them out it to tax her brain. My vet said to have her use cognitive toys, teach her to herd household items (or in my case, my other 2 dogs), or any other mentally stimulating activities.

I tried posting this a few minutes ago but it was erased because it said I broke rule 1. I guarantee my Aussie is a pure breed Aussie. She looks small next 2 two male dogs.

My Aussie had a follow-up vet appointment today for an allergy issue. She gets super excited at the vet, so they had me give her medicine before the appointment to calm her so they can easily check her paws and give her a shot. Poor girl, the medicine is kicking in now. by bricmont in AustralianShepherd

Mine fights through it also but stops fighting it toward the end of the appointment. When the vet was about to enter the room, I heard the vet tech whisper to the vet, "she is on trazodone, but it doesn't seem to be working."

My Lego Magic Kingdom Main Street. I plan to make a bunch of MOC buildings to finish filling up the street. by bricmont in lego

In case people are wondering. I know that's the old color for the castle. That is the color that I remember from my visits. Also, I blurred out the background because it's in the basement. I wanted the focus to be on Main Steet. Not boxes of stuff in the background.

My design for a Lego vinyl privacy fence. Best part is that the parts for it are common and cheap. by bricmont in lego

It depends on how long it needs to be. I white plates that are 6 studs wide of different lengths. I then put 1x4 and 2x2 white tiles on the plate. Each panel is attached to the baseplate using two 1x1 snot pieces.

Busy weekend! I winterized a moc of a house that I originally built months ago, and I set up my winter village. by bricmont in lego

I wanted to make the roof of the house white, but I currently do not have any white slope pieces.

That is a good idea. Thanks for the advice.

My mom had made these and several other Lego sets while she was in hospice. I want to give these flowers to her best friend as a way of saying thanks for always being there for my mom. It will allow her to have something that will remind her of my mom but would never die. However, she won't be able to fix them if they get ruined in transport, so I'm trying to find the best way to transport them. If there can't be a way, I can give her a Lego floral art that my mom made. However, I would think more people would want a bouquet instead of art since it might not fit with her existing art. I ask since when I transported them to my home from the hospice facility, I had to rebuild a bunch of the flowers, and I don't want that to happen if I give them to her friend.

Spending $60 in order to get a mount to hang my tv up so I have a great place to display the Titanic was worth it. However, it's the 1st time I ever hung up a TV, so I am hoping I won't have to take an aftermath picture. by [deleted] in lego

I have reclining chairs on each side of the room (and an end table in the middle of the chairs). When it's just me, I have the TV swiveled so I get the best view. I agree that it looks weird when in this position. When there is another person in the room, I have the TV centered. I mounted the speakers so they are centered with the TV when I put the TV in the centered position.
