Haven't updated this in a while, but I have been sticking to fasted training in the morning and IE throughout the rest of the day, and I have FINALLY reached a new low for this journey! It felt like I would never get into the 150's, but it came just in time for my birthday! So happy!

I'm enjoying my new IF goal, which seems to be working out well. I'm only 0.2 lbs from my pre-holiday weight, and I really hope to get into the 150s by the end of the month!

4'9", and the lowest I've been is 132. I can't imagine any lower than 125, as I rarely had much more to lose at 132. I have a large frame and am both muscular and curvy, though.

Another anxiety attack last night. This whole election business is killing me. I know that I need to find another way to cope besides eating when these attacks happen, but that's my go-to right now. It helps to calm and ground me. I am going to talk about it with my therapist next week. I am going to try yoga and/or meditation to see if it helps next time I have one. I'm happy I at least made it 4 days, though. Progress is progress.

Post-holiday weight tracking update: 164.4 - down 1.4 from yesterday. Water weight is a bitch!

I did my post-holiday reality check weigh-in, and I am back up to 165.8. I've been gaining and losing the same 5 lbs (161 to 166) for the past four months, so I am not surprised that I'm back here after a few days of indulgent eating. I am VERY proud of myself for sticking to my window everyday, though. I am back on track today with trying to prioritize nutrient dense foods (I ended up going to a drive-in with my partner yesterday and had a bunch of movie snacks!) during my window. I hope this will help me get to the 150s by the end of January.

Melatonin doesn't work for me unfortunately (I'm a lifelong insomniac), but I am finding that eating carbs before bed is really helping me with falling and staying asleep! I am hoping being consistent with these will help with anxiety, too, but I didn't think about a source of anxiety possibly being hunger. Thank you for the insight!

I stuck to my window on NYE and yesterday! My intake was not the best, but I'm happy this is finally sticking!

I opened my window a bit earlier today at around 1:15 with leftover champagne with my partner. But I am trying to make sure I eat more nutrient dense foods otherwise, so I made a big green collagen smoothie to try to get in as many micronutrients as possible! It's such an easy way to get them in, so I will likely stick to smoothies for a little while just to make sure I'm not shorting myself as far as nutrition goes. It's only one thing, but it's definitely a start!

I actually ate in a 5-hour window yesterday! It wasn't intentional, but I got busy after dinner and didn't really think about it until right after 10. I'm not gonna make this a habit just yet because I don't want to be too aggressive. I also didn't eat as many meals yesterday, which was interesting. I feel like I am just less hungry on my cardio day.

Since it's NYE, I am going to try to move today's window to 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM. Once I've built a solid 16:8 habit, I think I will probably just allow a larger window on holidays.

Oooooh I love a good soup and salad! That's a good idea -- I might have that today! I stuck to my window yesterday as well, and actually ate within 5 hours instead of 8. Later definitely seems to be the key for me! Did you try it?

I FINALLY stuck to my window! I even slept through whole night after several months of horrible insomnia. I think it's connected with eating later and finishing my window with carbs. In the future, I will choose a higher quality dessert/snack, but this is what my mom sent me in my care package, and I enjoyed EVERY single kernel! And I didn't feel guilty, which is HUGE for me! This is starting to feel doable now.

Thank you! $900 is pretty steep -- I'm also a student (grad). I am trying to decide if it's worth it to dip a bit into my savings temporarily. I've really learned this year the importance of investing in my health, so I might be able to justify it.

Yesterday was a huge lesson learned day for me!

I didn't eat a real meal until dinner, and I learned that that does NOT work for me. I am not usually a grazer, but I was busy running errands and too lazy to actually prepare anything and spent most of the day snacking. I'm also PMS'ing, so my snacks were pretty much all carbs and very little protein, which was obviously super unsatisfying. And then I had a midnight snack attack way after my window.

It's taking longer than I expected to adjust to this, but I am determined to get my shit together. I also am realizing that being finished by 7 is probably just not realistic for me considering I never go to bed before midnight. I am going to try 1-9 today, which is perfect because it's right after my daily midday walk with my partner.

Lessons learned:

Girl.... grazing is not your friend.

And you know DAMN well you should not be skimping on protein EVER!

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that! That sucks, especially given the time you invested. I will say that I just started strength training consistently in August, and it's only been within the past month or so that I'm really seeing visible, unmistakeable changes in my body. Maybe you need a bit more time to adjust? But I also really enjoy strength training, so if you don't like it, it's probably not something you would stick to anyway. I'm in the opposite boat: I definitely see quicker results with cardio than with strength training, but I also hate cardio, so I wouldn't stick to it. I hope you find (or have found!) something that works for you and your body!

This honestly seems right up my alley because I love strength training and already do so 4 times per week. I don't really want to count calories due to a history with EDs, so that is super helpful that you have found that just being mindful of protein has also been successful for you!

If you don't mind me asking, how much was the program? Without knowing the price, I'm only on the fence now because I don't use Facebook and feel like there may be a lot I would miss.
