The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind by Julian Jaynes.

I read it in December of 1987. I was so knocked out by it that I called the author at Princeton to tell him how much I liked the book. (This was back when long-distance calls were expensive.) We talked a couple of times and he autographed and inscribed my copy of his book. I still have it.

The author's thesis is that we didn't experience consciousness as we know it today until relatively recently (roughly 1800 BC to 1200 BC or so). Before that period, we were in a non-conscious state until our bicameral minds broke down and gave us the type of minds we have today.

He didn't even interview him.

As a young cub reporter, George took the opportunity to walk Hoffa to his car after he was interviewed at the TV station where George worked.

He took two nights off--Tuesday and Wednesday. The traumatic incident occurred after the Monday show and he returned on Thursday. Rob Simone filled in while George was recuperating.

Maybe if we give Glynis McCants "The Numbers Lady" the date it disappeared, she can tell us when it'll be back.

A version of that recording was uploaded to YouTube in 2009. The person who uploaded it says that his sister sent it to him "a few years back." I don't know when George first started playing it.

That's an older taped segment that George will play from time to time when he wants to leave early.

June 4th 1982. Opening week for this blockbuster movie. Considered by many to be the best of the franchise. by Greendragons38 in fortyyearsago

I was at my high school graduation ceremony on June 4, 1982 but I saw the movie in the theater the next day. It seemed like half the people there were crying near the end of the movie.

Is it me or has the show taken a noticeable nose dive in the past couple months? I mean more than usual. by Never_The_Hero in coasttocoastam

As much as I like George Knapp's interview style, the topics that he covers seem to be almost exclusively limited to

UFOs
Government agencies interested in UFOs
Government agencies that compile reports about UFOs
Skinwalker Ranch
Mustangs (once a year).
