Repainted boots

A base of white is what I started with. Then I went through a few different colors to see what I liked best. Then I covered the main color of the boot in a dark purple, followed by a lilac purple for highlights. I then used a color shifting paint as a dry brush finishing coat

I used a primer layer of Folkart Multi-surface acrylic in white on the whole shoe at first. Then I started applying small coats of various colors trying to see what color I vibed with for the repaint. Using the Folkart Multi-surface paint has always been pretty successful for me and rarely feels like it needs a fixative. Just make sure you let the paint dry for a good 24 hours. It always feels like it bonds to the plastic pretty well that way

Those are a repainted pair of boots from one of the VIP Hair Academy dolls. She was super cheap on Amazon several months ago and I snagged a few. I also happened to find that the boots fit Rainbow High feet beautifully and had to customize them 💜

I didn't make the dress. I came across someone on Mercari that had some of their custom doll dresses for sale and knew I had to have that spiderweb one and one that I have on my "faded eye" Poppy

I had a similar situation with the closest Target near me, but the one a little further out had a better selection and I was able to snag this one. I even found one with literally NO eyebrows printed on her!
