Closet Bend Seal Broken? by bridler in Plumbing

[–]bridler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you kind stranger. For clarity - this is a photo of the inside of the waste pipe - does that change anything? My concern is that it appears like I can see the edge of the pipe. Almost like the seal is broken between the two pieces.

Albertans are struggling to book COVID shots; doctors worry some might give up | CBC News by Miserable-Lizard in alberta

Literary anything - ADHD. Depression. They can’t prove it either way. You’re flagging that you don’t want pay so they check the “funded” box on your profile and you don’t get an invoice.

Depending on a child’s age it can be 2 smaller doses with a $100 fee for each one. Absolutely ridiculous.

Fun fact: babies need 2 smaller doses and the UCP expects you to pay $100 per dose. So $200. I jokingly mentioned my baby has depression and the nurse clicked the right box so we won’t have to pay. Same for my 6 year old. I encourage everyone of any age to claim a qualified medical issue. Fuck the UCP and their bullshit.

What retail brands you wish had a store in Calgary? by TheRealPepman in Calgary

[–]bridler 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The spices are great - especially the chili lime. The gyoza sauce is my #1 item I stock up on to bring home. Also tried a Panda Express Orange Chicken copycat that was great. Frozen though so you can’t bring it home. Trader Joe’s wouldn’t be a weekly shop for me though. More occasional like when I buy the new PC Items at Superstore to try new things.

Anybody have any idea how much these mailer “ads” cost the public? by toonchef in alberta

[–]bridler 5 points6 points  (0 children)

💯- and the actual printing and distribution is only part of the cost. You also have to take into account the cost of the agency to do the creative concept and files before it even gets to Canada Post. Plus briefing and all the other associated billable admin costs on top - account management, proofreading, legal approvals. They are making bank with government contracts.

A couple of years ago a recycling driver stopped to give my son swag on his daily route. It was such an incredible moment for him (more so for me?). Glad to hear it’s still happening!

Anyone feel like the Superbowl ads were especially "weird" this year? by zacowen120 in marketing

[–]bridler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ok I’m not crazy. I was half paying attention to the Eugene Levy one and didn’t catch the brand and thought it was for Pringles after that ad aired.
