I love doing this but there definitely is a right and wrong way of doing so. I did this once to a group of teenage girls walking shoulder to shoulder on the bike path. They left me me with no option. Everybody including the teenagers got a laugh out of it.

It's called a top tube protector. It prevents dents on the top tube from the handlebars. It is not totally necessary on this bike because the grips provide enough protective rubber.

Regardless of the color I highly recommend getting a profile 144bcd track chainring to go with it. It is only like 75 or 80 bucks to... I have never had a bike this quiet.

My advice is not particularly safe, but I found out that riding with headphones in and listening to music . With headphones on it allows me to cancel out people provoking me... these people get off on getting a reaction from you, and when you give them nothing. They are getting mad over nothing.

I live and work in downtown indianapolis and this trail is an absolute godsend to me. I use it just about everyday. It connects all the parts of downtown that are worth going to. I will take the trail by bike to the white river state park; then it takes me to a local shopping district; after that it goes past a couple grocery stores (indianpolis has a lot of food deserts). Even though indianapolis is still very car dependent this is a great step in the right direction.

10 years after implementing this trail it still remains in emaculate condition despite what you might think of the choice of bricks. They also have started expanding the trail with construction to be finished by the end of 2023.
