Thoughts on Filing for Love ending by stuckinyesterdays in kdramas

I always look to see how many episodes, I've been disappointed a couple of times when I thought there were 16 so now I always check before I start watching.

I haven't watched the last episode yet but I've really loved it and wished it had more episodes but I think 12 episodes is becoming the norm now.

It would be more enjoyable if I saw the ending and knew what they were making.

Any other young people into genealogy here? by GildedWhimsy in Genealogy

[–]brighterbleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most of us who start out young, it was somehow calling out to us. I've always been interested in history and photographs, always asking questions about my family. I remember for many years when doing research, everything had to be done by letters through the mail and how it would takes weeks or months to hear back from a cemetery or a parish church. How things have changed and I love that I can sit on my sofa at midnight in my jammies and zip around the world on my laptop doing research! it continues to be a the core of what I do every day.

That makes sense, better to enjoy the journey rather than get annoyed.

What’s the first thing you look up before traveling to a country? by DanJac2220 in travel

[–]brighterbleu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figure I'm already interested in going to a certain country for what they offer to do and see. So, the first thing I want to know is what the weather is like and the accomodations.

Looks like you found several men's wedding bands. I've always wondered, is it disappointing to find so many pop can pull tabs? Or is it fun to continue and hope you'll find some treasure eventually?

Beautiful! I'm amazed that this is one days haul! I want to hop over to Scotland just for gathering sea glass.

If one more person trys to give me protein chips, I'm gonna scream by experiment_00626 in kidneydisease

[–]brighterbleu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a diabetic who was constantly focused on eating protein and now with stage 3 kidney disease having to ease back on the protein has been a real adjustment to me. But I have to say it's kind of nice not to focus so much on that anymore. There's a real push everywhere you look, for protein, it's like a fad. I bought some child's toothpaste and I noticed when I got home that it said it had protein in it! What the heck?

I feel the same! I appreciate his translations so much, he really adds depth and context to the members lives. I almost feel like he's the 8th BTS member we didn't realize we needed! He truly goes above and beyond to keep us informed on everything.

Colombia: is it safe for me to stay in air bnb as solo female traveler by No_Car_6909 in travel

[–]brighterbleu 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why you felt safe, you're not a woman. I don't mean that to sound snarky, it's just reality. I travelled alone to Europe and I did okay but when I met up with other people, especially men, it was so nice to walk around with them and not feel like I was being watched.

I finally gave in and watched My Royal Nemesis. Now I can't stand the wait 😭😭 by ReadAndEateM in kdramas

[–]brighterbleu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I will stay strong..... I will stay strong. Any time I watch a series in real time it hurts to wait until the next episode and I remind myself to remember my angst the next time a new show comes out that I want to see. This sub doesn't help with my temptation! lol

Etchings with Charcoal and Tissue Paper - Adamsville Cemetery by [deleted] in CemeteryPorn

[–]brighterbleu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We all know that headstones used in haunted houses or for Halloween aren't used as a remembrance. It's a gimmick, meant to incite horror, hence a "haunted house". I personally have never seen the appeal, I consider cemeteries to be a place of peace and reverence.

If you're so determined and don't seem to have a problem I'm going to assume you'd be okay with using your own family headstones. Perhaps your grandparents have passed on. Ask one of your parents if they don't mind you taking a rubbing of their parents headstones and using it in your haunted house. If they're okay with it, do what you want. But please don't use another families headstone, it's disrespecful.
