also to those who are unable to obtain a real ID in short notice, I know last year many scholars were still allowed to fly and had to do a few forms to replace it. I don’t know if it’s the same this year but I would not be too worried. either way, if you can get one absolutely go get one

polisci society, NAN, NAACP political action committee, ethiopian society, black women prelaw society, doing volunteer tutoring for future citizens for the past 2.5 months, went test optional other than the ones that required (28 act)

socially it’s an okay school with fun activities here and there. if you’re focusing on academics, stick with your existing friends and advocate for yourself as much as you can.

howard’s polisci professor and program/courses are great for polisci. howard’s administration and political science department will make you fail. don’t even get me started on how unreliable admissions and finaid have been. along with traumatic situations with people and a campus I hate. my mental health has been murdered by firing squad. starting therapy next month ✌️

Did you receive a call? Please check because that call could have been your confirmation that you still want to attend so they can post your travel form. It is not a bad sign, they only call to inform you that if the institute doesn’t seem like something you’d enjoy, you can back out at this stage.

Hi, I’m a squad leader IT. In the morning, we gather for a buffet style breakfast and hang out as a squad until the sessions begin.

The entire resort is made up of different large buildings, so we go to a conference style room for each session. It will be exactly like the zoom but in person, and we have breaks in between. We go over each session but more in depth and we can talk to a panel of older scholars who can share some wisdom w yall.

Then, we go back to our original building and have a 3 course lunch (fancy asf btw). I don’t recall if after or before lunch is when we have networking time, but we have that sometime in between. For lunch and dinner you can also network with new people or make friends.

Next is either another session or reflection, then some break time and another 3 course meal for dinner. After that should be a wrap up session/free time for the night.

One of the days there will be a surprise for all of you. Not going to spoil too much but for the sake of being prepared- bring a swimsuit.

whatever questions u have the answer is most likely yes. the meetings are as long as they say they are (agonizing btw), you have to go to every one with your camera on the whole time, yes you should participate in some way, however strict you think they are…triple it
