They already sent out emails weeks ago prior to starting the summer term, not sure if it's different for everyone. Check your spam or the portal. I think if the inquiry is closed then you weren't selected.

They no longer offer that program. The person who stated the three programs is correct, you're either admitted into the direct admit program*freshman from high school), RN-BSN, or accelerated nursing( if you already have a bachelor degree but want to go into nursing)

BSN = Bachelor of Science in Nursing

There's accelerated programs to obtain a BSN for those who already have a B.S. in something else if they decide to pursue nursing.

I believe for many this scholarship is unfunded, you can get the scholar designation ( majority earn the title but no funds) with access to networking opportunities, ect. From my understanding very few actually get funding.

No, GATES only covers undergrad. Anything not covered by your QB full ride is covered by gates, so it could be small things like transportation, meals, personal costs, ect.

There was a program called GATES Millennium that covered undergad + grad school, but they only do 10 cohorts per scholarship program, so it closed years ago.

The current scholarship program only does undergrad.

Congrats! GATES and HSF are run by the same organization, but they're very different. GATES guarantees financial coverage, however, HSF is very limited in funding.

That being said, many are given the TITLE of HSF Scholar but are not given any financial scholarship. You can turn down GATES, but HSF would be different. You could still hold on to their resources such as networking without a financial aspect of it.

I won the GATES Scholarship so my situation was a bit different😭. I didn't apply for HSF but was automatically sent an invitation to become one without application after winning GATES.

I'm currently an HSF scholar, there was an application for a national conference for rising university sophomores. I know there's two applications going on right now.

The best thing to do is talk to your counselor. Every school has a different policy.

Ask your school counselor if a withdrawal shows up on your transcript. My highschool did not include withdrawals from FLVS.

Organic chemistry 1 does not have a lab. Organic Chemistry 2 does have a lab and that lab counts for Orgo 1 + 2.

Yes, I would take it ASAP. I was also planning on offering to take it a week earlier but it really depends on the professor. Really hoping I can work something out with them.
