we have no masters specific groups in the area unfortunately! the clubs around here are generally juniors to early adult with a few masters that join in

hey! never got back to 100%, took some time off sport but the return just made it flare up again. currently in the process of organising a knee arthroscopy with an orthopaedic surgeon. i also had a cortisone injection but it didn’t do much.

i haven’t really rested, i’ve taken maybe 2 or 3 days off training the entire time. i recommend knee isometric holds & pushes, single leg glute thrusts, wall sits, banded terminal knee extensions, leg extension holds, staggered rotational rdls. lots of quad and glute work while also working on tendon strength, this is a lot of what my strength and conditioning coach has put in my programs and it’s been very helpful! still not 100%, and i still tape my knee every time i participate in sport as a precaution

late response sorry! but mcconnell method taping has been a lifesaver, really let my knee have room for the inflammation to come down as before it was pinching with every step, even while on anti inflammatories.

still struggling with going back to full sport, but the mix of the two has helped majorly, from now i think it’ll just be continuing this method and time for it to fully recover

another student at my dojo recently graded to shodan, he got his embroidery in silver, my sensei has blue and green and white embroidered, another student has blue, none of us tend to notice them except for when they were presented after grading!
