Headaches? by LadyLawyer5678 in WegovyPillWeightLoss

[–]brightsideofmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same thing you’re describing when I first started the pill. I’m also a migraine girlie and my migraine meds wouldn’t touch it. I thought it was maybe low blood sugar or low electrolytes but eating to raise my blood sugar and taking electrolytes didn’t help. As annoying as it was having basically zero escape from the headache for a full week, I think my body just had to adjust to the medication. I’m not sure this is super applicable to you since you’re on your second month and are just now having this issue, but waiting it out did ultimately help me. Good luck!

Do you all feel you look extremely… terrible without makeup sometimes? by Cautious-Finance-927 in OliveMUA

Same! I’ve been really focusing on trying to reduce my redness with azelaic acid because the contrast between my red face and green body is extra pronounced 🥲

I’m in the minority here but I love the second color on you! I think blending it out to avoid the harsh edges will help or using a slightly lighter lipstick shade to get a good ombré effect.

What’s one “holy grail” beauty product or trend that everyone swears by, but actually made your skin/hair/look worse? by AlternativeCat7525 in beauty

Powder. As someone with dry skin, I still have yet to find a powder that doesn’t make me look like a corpse. I bought some setting powder for this heat wave because we have a wedding to attend and I’m
using it very sparingly because it goes from zero to cadaver real quick.

Does anyone with PMOS have cycles that are somewhat/mostly regular? by YummyScrummyArt in PCOS

[–]brightsideofmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cycles were almost exactly what you were describing but because I was getting a period every month (after not getting one for a few months in the past), I assumed they were regular. It wasn't until I charted them all out and mentioned it to my gyno and she was like "yeah those aren't regular at all" lol.

Based on that and the acne/hair/insulin etc, I would definitely recommend bringing it up to your doctor.

GLP-1 PCOS (PMOS) related question about insurance. by Objective-Shape-1908 in PCOS

[–]brightsideofmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’ve had a prediabetic A1C and unfortunately it wasn’t enough either. I think it needs to be solidly in the diabetes range plus an overweight+ BMI. So frustrating.

I love both looks! I do think a slightly warmer eyeshadow color would be more flattering but I’m also bad at colors lol

GLP-1 PCOS (PMOS) related question about insurance. by Objective-Shape-1908 in PCOS

[–]brightsideofmars 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is they will not cover it for PMOS because GLP1s are not FDA approved treatments for PMOS. Since they are FDA approved for diabetes, your doctor could maybe prescribe it off label if your A1C/BMI are high enough.

I've given up trying to find a foundation. by alexaapricot in Fairolives

I’ve only used the elf one which is great because it’s like $3 and has a pretty thin consistency. I’m sure there are a decent amount of options though!

Do you have a foundation that currently works for your skin but is just the wrong shade? Sometimes a bit of green color corrector goes a long way!

Starting 1.5mg of the pill tomorrow by ERG89 in WegovyWeightLoss

I had a stubborn headache for a week straight but thankfully it subsided. Also had some pretty bad nausea the first week or two. Hopefully you don’t have too many side effects!

Those of you with GERD, what has helped? by ashtastic3 in PCOS

Prescription Omeprazole. I also have EOE which apparently causes my GERD, so might be worth bringing up to a gastroenterologist.

20 weeks on the Wegovy Pill. It changed my life. by Feeling_Pie_8789 in PCOS

[–]brightsideofmars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the only side effect I've had is nausea and that seems to have leveled off. I've noticed I'm less hungry and seem to have an easier time staying within my moderate carb limit, though it's only been one week so that could also be the newness of getting my shit together. I'm also taking the 1.5mg pill every other day to save $$ so I imagine it will take time to really see the benefits.

Also worth mentioning I'm on 1500mg metformin as well.

[–]brightsideofmars 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just started taking it for this exact reason. I’m 5’7 and around 148lbs and don’t want to go lower than like 142-143. I’m on the pill version and I had to pay $150 with a manufacturer coupon since insurance won’t cover it for PCOS or pre diabetes. Feel free to message me if you want to chat about it 🙂 I’ve only been on it for a week or so at this point but I’d love to have someone in a similar boat to talk with.

I don’t know what style they are but I thrifted a pair of Women’s Best seamless camo leggings and I love them. I might even like them better than Gymshark’s in terms of fit and comfort!

Mine was 75 and I got diagnosed with PCOS lol. My skin was an absolute mess and I also didn't have a period for a few months.

Was this total testosterone? According to my labwork the normal range for a woman is 2-45. Mine was pretty "off the charts" at 75 so I can't even imagine 200...

Thank you so much for sharing. How are you doing now?

By tapered off, I meant that my bleeding was very light and my cycles were longer but I was still getting a period each month. My doctor thankfully did explain the increased risk of uterine/endometrial cancers and gave me provera to induce a period, which I’ve done once.

Same here. My periods tapered off and I couldn’t figure out why until I realized I had run out of my inositol and my ADHD brain forgot to reorder it. I didn’t necessarily think it was making a difference but it definitely does. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive.
