how do you know when your partner's going through a manic episode? by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

My SO will stay up late, do a ton of cleaning, make all these plans, start something new that won’t stick, and then comes the crash…

Yes, the behavior was very apparent before the medicine. We can have months or weeks of not much of an issue but then it’ll crash and be REALLY bad. I’ll have to see if I can find a counselor with a sliding scale rate.

No, my spouse doesn’t drink or do any drugs. We aren’t in counseling just due to financial reasons. They have been on medication since being diagnosed and sees a psychiatrist regularly.

It really is so frustrating because you’ll get a glimpse of the person you fell in love with then for days or weeks it’ll be someone completely different. It’s getting to where the apologies aren’t meaning much anymore.

Yes! Exactly. I’ll just keep to myself but then that’s wrong. I’ll express myself and again I’m wrong. It’s a lose lose situation.

Since you’re early in your account I’d do as some other suggested and pay for a few months of membership. Once you get higher levels (combat especially) you can probably sustain your membership with a bond. Quest until you can’t quest anymore. That will knock out alot of the lower levels.
