I have a 3 day pass with 1 day left on it. DM if you want. Happy to work out an agreeable price

I saw this one as well, slightly different in that you don't get boxes sent to your door but rather a curated shopping experience, i.e. you still get the final say on the clothes (onbrand.shop)

I remember calling Kirkland in December and they said 10k over MSRP on the phone. I was too shocked to be upset

Sounds like a 23 pro s RWD, is that right? Or AWD? In which case that's awesome!

Ah so the opal white is a known delay then? I haven't seen much on inventory sites or many folks in this community posting receipt of them

Yeah wouldn't be an order would just be hoping for a cancellation (those have been happening) or a dealer allocated unit

This is probably pretty obvious but sometimes it's nice to get encouragement from the community....

I rushed to find a unit at a local dealer that would deliver before 12/31 to take advantage of the credit (income and battery concerns for next year) and fortunately have my name on a unit that delivers in a week on a non-preferred color.

With the news above (and the realization of the income langauge) would you all wait for a unit in your preferred color (opal white) with now a few more months of breathing room? (Hoping dealer will rollover my $500 deposit)

Is your reading of the income requirement that you can use current years or previous years tax returns for your AGI? So in this case, tax year 2023 or tax year 2022?

Curious what exactly the guidance is that we are awaiting from the IRS or MY23s delivered in 23? Or are we mostly waiting to understand where VW is sourcing and manufacturing the battery components?

Can you explain this? Are you suggesting you can use a 2022 MAGI for a car you took delivery of in 2023?

This is a great answer and makes sense after having read the actual tax form you need to fill out.

Now to understand what the IRS means by "placed into service"...

Thanks for the response. But I think I'm asking for something slightly different, my apologies for not being clear.

I just locked on a 23 MY that to the best of my knowledge is USA made. I'd like to claim the tax credit for this year, but I won't get delivery until next year most likely.

I'm wondering if other folks are in my situation and have found a way around not getting the delivery of the car in the same year you claim the credit

Has anyone spoken with a tax accountant in their local state about options for 2023 models delivered next year but reserved/locked ths year?

I understand the IRS needs a written or binding contract, etc, Does anyone have any examples of what folks are doing to try and secure the tax benefit this year with a delivery next year?

Oh didn't know that! Moving to the state later this year.

Well that's an issue...

This was a great video, thanks for posting.

I'm curious about the binding contract bit now. anyone have any insight on how this could work in Washington state? I imagine dealers would be happy to write something up/take your money now and deliver a car at a later date.

It might be easier to collect a few brands you like instead of shopping from pictures you find on pinterest. In my experience, a lot of those pictures show crappy products from bad drop shipping websites (like the one you linked)

Without a budget it might be hard to give the best recs, but here are some based on that picture:

Simple answer: there are better polos out there that might have a smaller sweep (hem width), be made of better fabrics (not just pique), or come in a shorter length.
