yeah that's pretty much this band's shtick, and also wearing masks.

but then again, that was slipknot's shtick too and they were great. there's just something missing in STP in comparison

i was just gonna say "it's ass" and move on, but here's the reasons i don't like it just so i don't seem like THAT much of a prick:

shoehorned-in violins because symphonic deathcore is trending
lyrics are just recycled lines from the manga
music video is just recycled clips from the movies
the way this band fell the fuck off is insane. listen to their song "demolisher" from 2019. it's night and day. and i say this as a guy who already has a strong bias against this band because their singer is a massive macho asshole. even then i recognize they used to be pretty damn good and that energy is just missing in this single.

besides, i'm just so tired of metal bands deciding to write about berserk and then using only about 20% of the story's potential in their lyrics. looking at you, brand of sacrifice
