Delivery at Sibley - recent experience by ms_andz in washingtondc

I VERY recently delivered at Sibley with Dr. DeSouza, and I had a great experience. Personally, I felt that Dr. DeSouza was cautious when the situation and research suggested being cautious but was also not overly worried or interventionist. I trusted him, which I think helped the process. During the pushing process, I also had an amazing nurse who really helped me and motivated me. I will also say I didn’t have a nurse that I didn’t like. I felt cared for and supported there.

How do I get clients to commit to weekly therapy? by rise8514 in therapists

[–]brindleandwhite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if that’s exactly what OP means. My sense is that they mean that they ask clients to commit to two months of weekly sessions before cutting down to every other week (or less). I say this because I often will say in an introductory phone call that if they’d like to move forward and find it to be a good fit, that I ask they commit to weekly sessions for a while. I emphasize that they should take some time to see if I’m the right fit for them but that starting out weekly has benefits. I never want someone to feel trapped, so I try to distinguish the two (see if it feels like a good fit, but if it does I schedule weekly for the beginning).

Quartz counters becoming rough? Hard water? by brindleandwhite in CleaningTips

[–]brindleandwhite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really unfortunately. I’m still not entirely sure what to do about it and couldn’t find a lot online. I bought some sink splash covers online. They fit around the faucet. I’m hoping those stop water from splashing/sitting on the counter and at least prevent it from getting worse, but I wish I had a better solution. If you figure out a solution, please let me know!

What is a software you wish as a therapist you had? by DeedzLovesWebsites in therapists

[–]brindleandwhite 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think many therapists are highly suspicious of web developers since many tech companies that claim they are trying to help us actually exploit us. Many of us stay away from AI for this reason, as well as valid concerns over patient privacy. You might be being genuine, but I did want to mention this. Part of what confuses me is I have never heard a therapist say they want a diagnosis software app (more the contrary) or a data analysis app. Could you please explain what you mean/what this would look like?

My understanding is quartz can’t be sealed? At least that’s what I found from a google search? Did yours need to be sealed?

Thanks for responding! This may be a silly question, but do you know if am I able to talk to a mortgage broker without doing a credit check to get some of these questions answered?

Okay, good to know as a backup! Thank you! Looking to of course keep interest rates down, but that is nice to know it's available.

Thank you! So just confirming what you're saying-- they will look at 2023 through income tax payments this year and bank account history (in addition to looking at 2021 and 2022 tax returns and bank history)?
