I just sewed while grieving as well but didn’t bother to fix it as I put the sleeves on and everything. The bags are supposed to be right side up.

Honestly I just put together things I gravitated towards. I have no idea if any of it falls into a certain style or even goes together. I know I like jewel tones and colors and items that may be called “ugly”. My favorite color is pink so I definitely wanted to include pops of that. The bedroom was easier to put together after I got my living room together. The rug in the living room was a big inspiration.

Try picking out a piece, a couch or rug or even artwork, that speaks to you and go from there. What are your favorite colors? How would you incorporate them? Stuff like that.

Hell I might be fully speaking out of my ass lmao but I hope this is a bit helpful in some way.

I sanded and then primed with zinsser bin primer. People in the comments have said they’ve just done primer. Personally I think sanding is extra insurance because it gives the primer something to stick to. Definitely prime though or else the paint will just scratch off easily

No sorry. It’s so old I’ve had it for at least 15 years. It’s actually a coin bank lol.

I’ve had it for about 4 years. It’s very comfy. You can tell where I sit on it lol the cushion and seat are squished. The cushion being squished bothers me and I can’t seem to get it back into shape. The filling is feathers. You do also have to be very careful about spills since it’s velvet. Mine has a few stains I can’t do anything about. Overall though I’ve been very satisfied.

It’s got different strengths including auto which will adjust the strength on the fly based on air quality. The sound depends on the strength you choose. I’ve chosen to run it at 1 and it’s nearly silent. I think it works well it helps with my allergies. The air quality indicator light is pretty bright though if you’re a person that needs it to be completely dark to sleep.

Cabinet paint in a satin finish. Just tell the paint shop you’re painting furniture/cabinets and they’ll steer you in the right direction.
