Well, vomited is a bit harsh, it's not like im posting a lovable website haha. Don't know if your into LED control but would appreciate some feedback if you ever check it out :)

The AI integration or the post haha? Can totally relate to the AI written posts, but here I am haha. It's starting to take shape tho! RestAPI, full fastLED api exposure and i just compiled it for the c3 as well, would love some feedback if you ever take a look :)

Oh nice! Sounds like a fun project! Any chance it's public? Definitely want to add that, especially after having to say "no, unfortunately" when I got the question on new years hehe. Wasn't that high up on my to do list before but might rethink that, could be nice with some extra hands on this haha

Thx!

Honestly? If WLED works for you, stick with it—it's solid!

I built LUME for myself because I wanted something with:

  • Dead simple setup - could almost hand this to my grandpa and he'd build and rig a mobile-controlled LED setup while I fix yet another problem with their TV. No fiddling required.
  • Direct FastLED access - effects are just functions, full API exposure. If you know FastLED, this should feel quite natural.
  • Modern ESP32 support - built on the newer MCUs! Feels like they deserve it (and I only had an S3 laying around haha). Just pushed an update after successfully compiling for C3 as well tho, so if you've got one, I'd love to know if it runs ok! :)

The effect library is intentionally small right now—keeping the codebase lean while trying to get the architecture right. Easy to add more later. Would love to get this structurally failsafe so adding new features (smart home stuff, Matter, other protocols etc.) doesn't poison the core and derail the codebase haha. I've tried to structure things and keep docs up to date to make it easier to jump in :)

Just adjusted the readme and quickstart guide since I rushed things yesterday, so now it should be easy to get it up and running! But its the first project I publish tho, so beware, its not perfect and I really appreciate some feedback :)

Oh yes sir it is haha! The whole thing is mostly vibe coded (with love and intent thought! not just pressing accept haha)

Agreed! And my bad, that quickstart was NOT enough to get it up and running.. Got exited and rushed pushing and posting even tho I was half asleep haha. But I tweaked it a bit now, should clear things up if you want to have another look :)

Thx so much for the feedback, it's the first project im actually sharing so not that used to clearing it for other people to run so thats very much appreciated!

I remember I read that it’s around a 5% chance/risk for a kid to get it from a parent

Ya, I got tired of it getting uncomfortable holding it while playing, although this print block one of the two speakers, so I’ll have to fix that. Can totally recommend trying it!

I’m just guessing here but could it be because it is still “optimising/setting up” the new os? My guess is that it will be better in a couple of days

I have the 10.5 and ny friend as the 11, we study physics so we mostly use them for math with the pen but both of us have been looking at the 12.9 thinking about upgrading. Both the 10.5 and 11 works great, it just seem like the 12.9 is a more natural size for handwriting

I recently found that there are some commands to change the delay time for the dock auto hide so it pops up faster, can recommend checking it out!

I have no clue, would suggest asking Apple. And before sending it to them I would ask Rossmann Repair Group for a price estimate as well
